00:00Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon has said that he is gutted for club team-mate Tino Livramento
00:06following his recent knee injury, but also spoke about wanting to repay faith in Thomas Tuchel.
00:12Yeah, I think that's a difficulty with England sometimes, is that you're not playing with the lads all the time.
00:18So the chemistry's not as good as you would like it to be at a club level, for example.
00:22But, I mean, I've been here for a long time now, so I've got quite a good chemistry with everyone on the pitch.
00:26I've got to for Tino that he can't be here. Obviously, he's been immense for Newcastle for a long time and played a lot of games.
00:33So hopefully he can just rest, get better and recover and come back better.
00:37The manager was asked a lot of questions about the big players that he's left out.
00:42He sort of talked about how you had done so well as a camp in September that if he then turns around and leaves people out from that,
00:50that he'd almost sort of lose some people mentally. Is that how it works?
00:55Is there almost now a kind of faith, loyalty that you will have to repay to him?
01:01Yeah, I think so. I think it works both ways.
01:04He would obviously repay loyalty that we've given to him by giving absolutely everything we possibly can when we play, when we train.
01:10And I think he spoke about that. He really enjoyed the last camp.
01:13And Middlesbrough's Dale Fry made clear that he was proud of the efforts of his teammates,
01:19despite their loss away at Portsmouth in the Championship, which was their first defeat of the season.
01:25Yeah, obviously very disappointed. We've had a fantastic start to the season.
01:30And, you know, this was going to come at some point, you know.
01:32Obviously really disappointed. But, you know, the lads, I thought the effort today was fantastic, especially second half.
01:37You know, we give everything, we tried everything.
01:40But like I said, today wasn't, you know, it was one of them days.
01:42But I'm proud of the lads. The effort was fantastic.
01:44And, you know, we've got a break now to reset and we'll go again.
01:47Yeah, and obviously we started the first half and second half quite sharply.
01:51Why do you think we couldn't quite build on that momentum?
01:53Yeah, I think it was difficult, you know, it's a hard place to come.
01:57Dale probably still just off their home record alone.
02:00They've got a lot of bodies behind the ball.
02:01We didn't really move the ball quick enough.
02:03But like I say, we tried everything in the end.
02:05You know, we got our forward players on the pitch and our final ball just wasn't there in the end.
02:09But like I say, it's been a great start to the season.
02:11But this is coming at some point and, you know, we're going to really kick on again.
