An airline worker used the weight of two sisters to identify the pair to police after they allegedly assaulted a crew member while being hauled off a flight.
Kiera Lyons, 22, and her older sister Maura Lyons, 31, were traveling from Orlando to New Jersey in May when they were said to have drunkenly shoved a Frontier gate agent.
According to a case report seen by the Daily Mail, the two, from Manahawkin, New Jersey, were intoxicated and causing a disturbance on the plane, with Kiera said to be screaming as they were asked to leave.
After eventually complying, they were led up the airbridge, where they were both accused of pushing a gate agent to the ground, causing a minor injury.
When asked by officers to describe the sisters, the agent identified Kiera as 'young and thin' while describing Maura as 'chubby and older'.
Chaotic bodycam footage emerged of their exchange with officers after the incident. Kiera, who appeared to be sunburnt, was seen hyperventilating on the departure lounge floor before the two were led away in cuffs.
In a written statement provided to Orlando Police, the flight supervisor said Kiera screamed at a flight attendant and was pointing her finger at individuals as she was asked to leave.
As they were eventually led away, the supervisor said: 'The younger passenger turned around and pushed the gate agent, and the oldest sister pushed the gate agent again.
'I went in the middle of the gate agent and the passengers because they were going to hit the gate agent again.'
Another worker told police: 'I stepped off anheardar yelling and witnessed the young lady wearing white/pink push the gate agent. As she was trying to get her balance, the other young lady wearing all pink pushed her as well.
'The gate agent fell to the floor, and the supervisor tried to get in between them, and they all started running off the jet bridge.'
The worker who was allegedly assaulted added: 'When leaving the jet bridge, the younger skinny college girl pushed me, and then the older sister, the chubbier one, stepped forward and pushed me to the ground.
She added,d As soon as I fell, all three passengers ran,' referencing the sisters' aunt who was traveling with them as part of the group of three.
According to social media, Maura is a mom of two, while her younger sister previously played field hockey for Stockton University. She now appears to work as a trainer at a gym in New Jersey.
Bodycam footage captured afterward shows Kiera crying, telling the attending officer: 'I have anxiety and depression.'
Her aunt repeats that same claim.
She continued to breathe frantically as her aunt tried to calm her down. Maura could be heard saying: 'That guy [the flight attendant] pushed her to the ground and she fell.'
The officer asked for their IDs as Maura again told him Kiera suffers from 'bad anxiety', and the two also seemingly tried to make attempts to contact their father.
