00:21Rubaiyat and its deep connection with Persian art. Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat is a timeless

00:29treasure of Persian literature, a collection of quatrains, Rubai, that blends sensuality,

00:36existential wonder, and lyrical grace. Though attributed to the 11th century polymath,

00:43an accomplished astronomer, mathematician, and poet, many verses were gathered after his death.

00:51We will explore into the luminous world of Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat, as interpreted by Edward

00:58Fitzgerald's famously evocative English translation and brought to life through the sumptuous

01:03illustrations of Edmund Dulac. As you turn these pages, allow the interplay of word and image to
