Israeli families erupted in joyous celebrations in Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, brokered through indirect talks mediated by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar. US President Donald Trump announced that both sides had agreed to the first phase of a peace plan aimed at ending years of violent conflict in Gaza and securing the release of hostages held by Hamas.
