00:00My grandpa told me about the man who fixed shadows.

00:03He said when a shadow gets torn or frayed at the edges, this man comes to stitch it back together.

00:09I always thought it was just a silly story, a way to make me less afraid of the dark.

00:14But last night, I saw it.

00:18I was getting a glass of water when I noticed my shadow on the kitchen wall.

00:22It was wrong.

00:24There was a long, thin tear near its hand, like a rip in fabric.

00:28It wasn't there before.

00:30I blinked, and it was gone.

00:34This morning, though, I noticed something new.

00:37A faint, dark line running down the back of my own hand, right where the shadow had been torn.

00:43It doesn't hurt, but it's cold to the touch.

00:46It looks just like a stitch.

00:48I keep checking my shadow now, terrified of finding another tear, wondering what part of me he'll fix next.
