Turkey has called on Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to abandon their quest for autonomy and fully integrate with the Syrian government, following a recent ceasefire deal. The move comes after clashes in Aleppo, and as Kurdish forces negotiate for decentralized governance, a demand strongly opposed by both Ankara and Damascus.

00:00But today, we could not reach any practical step to implement this agreement, reached between SDF and Syrian government on March 10th, and this agreement remains as they say, ink on paper.
00:15We demand the SDF and its leadership to put all effort to implement this agreement, because according to this agreement it is, in effect, until the end of this year,
00:29and that not reaching any practical implementation that would assure our people, and give clear messages to those inside and outside, that Syria is walking confidently in a way that expressed Syria's unity, and its quick integration with the framework of civilian and military institution.
00:51This will give a negative impression, and it would bring back lack of confidence in this path.
00:57What are we asking SDF for? We were open on all points on which they had reservations at this stage, and I believe SDF is slow in taking correct steps.
01:11The Syrian state is working quickly to fill the political vacuum, and for that we cannot wait for any side discussion or any aspect related to private interests, and put obstacles in front of the national interests, which are related to the future of our sons.
01:30These slowness and obstacles in implementing this agreement day by day leads to losses and increases the loss of our people in these areas under SDF control, especially in the fields of health, education, and service, as well as putting obstacles in the path of counter-terrorism, as you know.
01:54The Syrian government has the will to conduct simultaneous operations against Daesh.
02:01We must all support Syria in supporting this will with the necessary capabilities and capacity.
02:09Turkey will continue to contribute to the development of the Syrian government's capabilities in the fight against Daesh.
02:16At this point, the SDF, the Syrian Democratic Forces, which is pursuing a separatist agenda under the guise of combating Daesh, must abandon this equation.
02:28In today's meeting, we thoroughly evaluated all these issues and the steps that can be taken to swiftly and fully implement the March 10th agreement.
02:38In other words, views were exchanged regarding yesterday's talks between Syrian government and SDF.
02:46Of course, there are steps to be taken here.
02:49The parties must maintain their intentions properly.
02:53The SDF not must think with a different agenda and act differently.
02:58That is, it must avoid hypocrisy.
03:00A solution that will genuinely benefit both sides and serve the unity and integrity of Syria must be put forward.
03:08We hope this will be implemented through peaceful means.
03:12Israel conducting one-sided operations by using Sueda and Durzi brothers there as a reason is causing different, negative fluctuations in this region.
03:23This is a matter that increases instability.
03:27To be honest, this is a national security issue for us.
03:33We are following this closely.
