00:02SoftBank Group said Wednesday it will acquire the robotics division of Swiss engineering firm ABB for $5.4 billion to expand its artificial intelligence portfolio, according to Benzinga.
00:13ABB said it will no longer pursue plans to spit off the robotics unit into a public company and expects the deal to close in mid to late 2026, generating roughly $5.3 billion in cash proceeds.
