00:00let's take a look at thursday night football where you know generally speaking you never know
00:05what you're gonna get from a thursday night game what do you think we get this week the giants are
00:09at home getting seven and a half points in a super low total of 41 and a half we saw the giants
00:15screech to a halt and come back down big time to earth this past week turning the ball over five
00:22times against the saints i would imagine if this was a sunday game jacob the narrative would be
00:28the phillies are mad or i'm sorry the phillies the eagles are mad after losing last week's game but
00:33it's a short turnaround thursday yeah it's always tough when you have the short turnaround but
00:38typically that will benefit the better team so i think you can clearly say that the eagles are the
00:43better team in this matchup they have a great roster they have a lot of talent and you know that
00:48vick fangio coached defense against a rookie jackson dart making his third start on a short week that
00:54figures be a pretty significant hindrance for the giants so i think the eagles have the edge on that
00:59side of the ball the bigger thing is their offense it just has not come together through five weeks yet
01:04they're breaking in yet another new offensive coordinator it's their fourth in the last four
01:08years with kevin patulo and things just seem sort of a little bit off there saquon barkley only had
01:14nine touches last game aj brown has had trouble getting on the same page as jalen hurts and we've seen
01:19kind of the meetings of the binds this week between hurts and barkley and brown trying to
01:25seemingly get all on the same page so i think if you're looking at this game from that perspective
01:29and you're saying man i don't trust the eagles offense to kind of score and cover the spread
01:34i can understand that but i think this team just has too much talent on that side of the ball for this
01:39to continue to be an issue they're going to snap out of it at some point i get that that might be hard
01:45to do on a short week but this kind of feels like a spot to be aware they've been so frustrated
01:49this may be a get right game for them maybe if they get aj brown going and maybe if saquon barkley
01:55can play and not have you know too many issues with his banged up knee maybe they can get the job done
02:00and kind of blow out the giants and put themselves on the right track so i'm willing to back the eagles
02:05because of that narrative in my head but again we haven't seen their offense come together yet that's
02:10been a little bit strange considering how efficient they were on route to a super bowl last year
