Do you think shops should open longer on Sundays, or should Sunday stay as it is?

00:00I'd be well against shops opening for any longer on Sunday simply on behalf of the workers
00:05because they'd be forced to work later on a day that's meant to be like a family day
00:11for most people.
00:13I think they should open longer.
00:15To stay out there is because it would just be more complicated because people would be
00:18like, oh, now it's shops at like 5 o'clock and then next minute they change it.
00:23Not so long ago shops didn't open on Sunday at all, you don't have to go back all that
00:28far when supermarkets didn't open and people survived perfectly well just shopping six
00:34days a week.
00:35I think it offers a wider range of employment for people, it gives flexibility, it can open
00:40the mark up a bit more for people, for employers, for employees.
00:46There's online that's come in the last few years as well so in a way a lot of shopping
00:51is 24-7 anyway.
00:53It can still be a sacred day to a degree, why does it have to be not a sacred day?
00:57Just because the shops are open later.
