Mohan Babu University in Tirupati has suffered a major setback. The Higher Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission has cracked down on the institution for charging high fees from students and not disclosing income. It has imposed a fine of Rs. 15 lakh. The commission found that an additional Rs. 26.17 crore was collected from students from 2022-23 to September 2024. It has ordered the students to repay this amount within 15 days. తిరుపతిలోని మోహన్ బాబు యూనివర్సిటీకి భారీ ఎదురు దెబ్బ తగిలింది. విద్యార్ధుల నుంచి అధిక ఫీజులు వసూలు చేయడం, ఆదాయాన్ని వెల్లడించకపోవడంపై ఉన్నత విద్య నియంత్రణ, పర్యవేక్షణ కమిషన్ కొరడా జులిపించింది. ఏకంగా రూ.15 లక్షలు జరిమానా విధించింది. 2022-23 నుంచి 2024 సెప్టెంబర్ వరకు విద్యార్థుల నుంచి రూ.26.17 కోటర్లు అదనంగా వసూలు చేసినట్లు కమిషన్ గుర్తించింది. ఈ మొత్తాన్ని విద్యార్ధులకు 15 రోజుల్లోగా తిరిగి చెల్లించాలని ఆదేశించింది. #mohanbabuuniversity #tirupati #highereducation
