Full-time p-hailing and e-hailing drivers will soon receive targeted fuel subsidies under the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) initiative, based on their actual fuel consumption, says Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.
Speaking at a press conference after launching the Household Income and Expenditure Survey Malaysia 2024 on Wednesday (Oct 8), Amir Hamzah said the government aims to ensure that eligible drivers in both sectors receive their allocations under Budi95 by Oct 15.
When asked about the exact amount of additional subsidy, Amir Hamzah, who also serves as Economy Minister, said he has yet to review the full report submitted by the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) to the Finance Ministry.
