00:00Senator Irwin Tulfo will temporarily serve as the acting chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee following the resignation of Ping Lakson.

00:12Senate President Vicente Tito Soto III confirmed the decision earlier today following a caucus of the majority bloc saying that they decided to make the vice chairman as the acting chairman for the meantime.

00:24Soto said that there is no need to bring Tulfo's appointment during the plenary session since Tulfo is the vice chairman of the said panel.

00:33Once Tulfo returns, Soto said that they will conduct a Blue Ribbon meeting and that they will still discuss who will permanently become the panel's chairperson.

00:42The Senate leader earlier said that Senators J.V. Ejercito, Rafi Tulfo, Pia Cayatano, Kiko Pangilinan, and Risa Hontiveros are being considered for the role.
