00:00You start talking to some people and you mention the strike and they go,
00:06God, that again. Do you know what I mean? And I say, hang on.
00:09Women gained so much from that strike, it was a win for women.
00:14It's changed my life definitely for the better.
00:20I would have never done what I've done in my life if it's time to be for a strike.
00:27Had it not been for the women, the strike would have ended months before.
00:35What are we going to do? We're going to sort of take a forelock, yes ma'am, or fight.
00:41And the choice was to fight.
00:44I went to an old women's speaking line. They're good in and they're waiting there,
00:50and they're titting you on your shins. I realise now we know we're going to get arrested.
00:55The Met were absolute bastards.
00:59I'd rather be a picket than a scab.
01:03A wolf in sheep's clothing.
01:06The biggest politicisation of working class women I have ever seen.
01:11We've done it for the working class. Get better standard than living.
01:16We were out, we were gone, and that was our freedom.
01:22Would I do it again?
01:24Yeah I would.
01:26By saying what those women did, it inspired younger women to take the fight on.
01:31You've got to step forward, make your voice heard. United. We can do things, but we've got to be united.
01:41There's a long way to go before we get what we want. A long way. And we keep them fighting.
