00:00In the early days, actually, I'm working in Madag.

00:03This is in the early 80s, around 84, 85.

00:06I have to visit the site, the dam, everything.

00:09So during the visitation, sometimes we cross over this forest area.

00:14Okay, so one day when I stopped for coffee,

00:17the site saw the villagers come to see me.

00:19So they bring this mushroom to me,

00:22ask me to identify this mushroom for them.

00:29they burned the mushroom to the ashes.

00:31So they mix the ash with honey,

00:34then they drink for asthma.

00:36Then they mix it with coconut oil to apply on the skin,

00:41Then I'm thinking, you know, if this thing is burning into ash,

00:46What happens if we cultivate it,
