00:00So who's going to get away the best? It's lights out and away we go for the sprint.

00:06Magnussen does get a good start as does George Russell as well. Lando Norris is coming thick and

00:11fast and into turn one we go. Magnussen ahead of Verstappen. Russell going around the outside,

00:16a few drivers locking up brakes. Verstappen's held on the second place. Russell in third,

00:20a little bit squirrelly for Lando Norris coming out of turn two. Will that affect him? Going down

00:25the retro imposter already. Carlos Sainz is right alongside him. Esteban Ocon wants to dive down

00:30the inside here. Fernando Alonso is waiting. Esteban Ocon on the inside of his teammate,

00:34forces Fernando Alonso wide and they make contact. The two Alpines but managed to keep going.

00:39Fernando Alonso, Esteban Ocon, contact down at the Cida del Largo. There it goes.

00:45And there's a piece of debris as well on the track I saw, but on the pit straight and there's another

00:51fight at that. It was the first win, I think, next to our final.

00:59Here comes Lewis Hamilton, who likes a bit of overtaking here at Interlagos. He's going

01:03wheel to wheel with Esteban Ocon into the first corner. There is Max Verstappen ahead of Kevin

01:09Magnussen. This Martin is how he did it. Yeah, he's a long way back, look, a great slipstream. He's

01:14obviously got his battery prepared. And here comes George Russell on Kevin Magnussen, looked fairly

01:20easy at DRS, didn't he? And he goes up into second place so he can chase after Max Verstappen. And

01:26there's Carlos Sainz right on Magnussen's tail. The Ferrari looks good in race trim. Yeah, here it

01:32comes, here it comes, here it comes, and there it goes. Carlos Sainz down the inside at the Cida del Largo.

01:40Hamilton up into fourth place, gets past Kevin Magnussen. Another overtake into turn one.

01:46Down the inside goes Sergio Perez. Favourite overtaking place into turn one and through the Senna Esses.

01:58Sergio Perez is on the soft tyre and he's just got past Kevin Magnussen. The pole sitter is starting to

02:03struggle a little bit. We're riding on board now with Sebastian Vettel. DRS is wide open for Lance Stroll and

02:10Vettel is onto the grass. Stroll moved over to the left-hand side there. And this is what Lance Stroll got a 10-second

02:17time penalty for. Sebastian spied a gap. Lance moved late, like he did with Fernando Alonso trying to

02:24defend in Austin. Just moved very late to the left. And we're onto the retro posture and he's got DRS.

02:31So maybe he was just backing off, recharging his battery. And by recharging his battery he can go

02:36wheel to wheel with Verstappen into turn four. They almost touch. Verstappen goes a little bit wide.

02:43Russell has got DRS and once more he's got that pace advantage with the slot cap opening. But he's not ahead.

02:50Going into the Cida del Largo, Verstappen is doing a brilliant job. But Russell's coming back now.

02:56And we're on the run down to Ferradura. Once again Russell has to stay behind.

03:02It's Alex Albon. Here's the driver down at turn two. Looks like he is out.

03:08Out of the center S's. Round the curve at Assault. What can Russell do this time? Doesn't look like

03:14Verstappen's got a great amount of grip. Getting onto that retro posture. They are wheel to wheel.

03:18Russell is now ahead and to the lead. George Russell is taking him three goes. But finally he gets past Max Verstappen.

03:27You've got not one but two chasing the championship leader of the pack here. And the first one on him

03:31is Carlos Sainz who goes down the inside. Verstappen gives him enough space. And there is contact.

03:37And there is damage there to the front wing end plate of Max Verstappen's rebel.

03:41And that's where the front wing went. It would have been so easy to get a rear puncture there for Sainz.

03:50Yeah Verstappen going for a hat trick and wins in the sprint in 2022. And his hopes have disappeared

03:56ever since George Russell overtook him. And now Verstappen finds himself down in fourth place as Lewis

04:02Hamilton moves up into the top three. Turning into a wonderful afternoon sprint.

04:07The man who ended up in the gravel in qualifying yesterday. He's left no stone unturned today in

04:14his pursuit of victory. George Russell to the chequered flag wins the Sao Paulo sprint. Behind

04:20him Carlos Sainz picks up the runners off spot. Beats home Lewis Hamilton by just four tenths of a

04:26second. And behind them comes Max Verstappen who was at one stage leading this race and then lost

04:33out and had damage to his car. That's how we roll baby. That's how we roll. Very nicely done. Big

04:42points for tomorrow. Let's go. George Russell his first win in Formula One still waits for a Grand

04:48Prix win. But he's got eight points on the board from that sprint victory today.
