Mahomes explains what went wrong in huge 99-yard pick six

Patrick Mahomes praised the Jaguars' defensive coverage after giving up a 99-yard pick six in the Chiefs' loss.

00:00I mean, honestly, they just got me with the coverage that they played.

00:03They had played zero kind of inside that ten-yard area in previous games,

00:07and they hadn't shown the poppers with the linebackers popping out

00:10when they were protected.

00:10And I think back to a game against Cincinnati earlier in the year

00:13that they had Jamar Chase kind of on a slant route.

00:16And so I saw the look, and I checked to the play with the end routes,

00:21having three ends,knowing that they were going to try to pass off the guys,

00:25and Juju was going to pop wide open,and he did.

00:27But credit to,I mean, they schemed themselves,

00:29and they kind of looked over what they could do better,

00:31and he popped right underneath where I was throwing the ball.

00:33And so it was a great call by them defensively,

00:35and obviously a great play by zero getting the pick.

00:38And then I got to find a way to tackle him or slow him down

00:41after he gets the interception.
