00:00Hey, everyone. Today we're diving into the season of Infernal Chaos,
00:03which is set to shake things up here on September 23rd.
00:06For seasonal realms, we're introducing Chaos Armor, a brand new armor type,
00:10Chaos Perks, Chaos Rifts, and for all realms,
00:13we're adding in major updates to Infernal Hordes, new unique items, and more.
00:17I want to point out that I have a Rockstar co-host today with me,
00:20Adam Fletcher, who's the Director of Community for All Things Diablo.
00:24Hey, Wanderers. Let's talk about Chaos Armor.
00:27The new armor type is designed to shake up your builds.
00:29Chaos Armor can roll with current existing unique powers,
00:33but now across any armor slot, helm, chest, gloves, pants, or boots.
00:39The general Chaos Armor pool includes 10 unique powers usable by any class,
00:44like Godslayer Crown, Banish Lord's Talisman, or Fists of Fate.
00:48Let's take Fists of Fate for example.
00:50Instead of having that power on your gloves,
00:53you can now get that effect on your helm with Chaos Armor,
00:56opening up entirely new build possibilities.
00:58Let's say you get the Fists of Fate unique power on a Chaos helmet,
01:02and call it Face of Fate.
01:04I won't be the one to stop you.
01:06For drop rates specifically, Chaos Armor is rarer than normal uniques,
01:09but less rare than mythics.
01:11In addition, each class has their own 13 exclusive powers.
01:15For example, Barbarians could get Mantle of Mountain's Fury or Ugly Bastard Helm.
01:20You can wear a different Chaos Armor in every slot,
01:23by identical effects or powers won't stack.
01:25This encourages creativity and experimentation.
01:29Chaos Armor can drop anywhere,
01:31but the best farming spot will be inside Infernal Hordes when taking down Bartook.
01:35Who's that?
01:36Bartook is a new selectable boss within Tormented Infernal Hordes.
01:39It'll cost some Aether to summon him,
01:41but if you manage to defeat him, you'll be rewarded with some nice loot.
01:45Chaos Armor always drops at maximum item power
01:48and includes at least one guaranteed greater affix.
01:51Also, Chaos Armor isn't tradable.
01:53This should extend your item chase a bit without disrupting your build,
01:57since you can still use normal, unique items
01:59and gradually switch over to Chaos Variants as the season progresses.
02:02In addition to Bartook,
02:03you can expect lots of changes coming to Infernal Hordes
02:05with player choice in mind.
02:08Starting out immediately with Wave 1,
02:09you'll notice it doesn't start automatically anymore
02:11and it now begins after you pick your first Infernal Offering,
02:15which puts you a bit more in the driver's seat.
02:17We've done significant work on all the Infernal Offerings
02:19revealed between each wave.
02:21Our goal is to try to make the offerings
02:23feel like a valid choice and make it more fun to build into.
02:26While running these newly revamped Hordes,
02:28sometimes you encounter a Chaos Wave.
02:30These waves will have significantly increased difficulty
02:33for a reward far more Aether.
02:35These can be, well, chaotic.
02:37From hellworms exploding out of the ground
02:39to hordes of goblins terrorizing the battlefield,
02:43this will be a great way to break up the gameplay
02:45when they do show up.
02:47In pre-Torment tiers,
02:48you can play a modified version of Infernal Hordes
02:50before reaching Torment difficulties called Fleeting Hordes.
02:54Fleeting Hordes will be four waves in total,
02:57but with limited Infernal Offerings
02:59to keep everything under control
03:00while you build up your character.
03:02Upon completing the four waves,
03:04you'll fight two Fel Council members
03:06before you can spend your hard-earned Aether
03:08for more rewards.
03:09To make Helltides and Torment even more unpredictable,
03:13you'll encounter Chaos Rifts.
03:15These rifts appear with varying rarities
03:17from magic all the way up to the elusive mythic.
03:20If you're lucky enough to stumble upon a mythic rift,
03:23don't pass it up.
03:24They're incredibly rare and packed with rewards.
03:28You can expect to gain powerful loot,
03:30heaps of experience,
03:31and seasonal currency known as Infernal Warp.
03:34More on that soon.
03:36In addition, Chaos Rifts can be found in Nightmare Dungeons,
03:38so keep an eye on your sigils
03:40as they can roll with a Chaos Rift at once.
03:43Seasonal powers this time around
03:45will be in the form of Chaos perks.
03:47They're unique modifiers designed to shake up your gameplay,
03:49but some of them have a kiss and curse effect.
03:52These perks grant powerful benefits,
03:54but certain ones can come with a cost.
03:56For example, one perk might drastically reduce
03:58your ability cooldowns,
04:00but completely remove the effects
04:01of cooldown reduction altogether.
04:03Another supercharges your healing potion,
04:05granting attack speed,
04:07resource cost reduction,
04:08and movement speed,
04:09but now your potion comes with a long cooldown.
04:11There's even a perk that boosts your damage
04:13the lower your health gets,
04:15rewarding different play styles.
04:17You'll power up Chaos perks
04:18using the seasonal currency we mentioned earlier,
04:20Infernal Warp.
04:21Perks come in rarities,
04:22ranging from magic to unique.
04:24You can equip up to three non-unique perks
04:26alongside one unique perk,
04:28giving you room to mix and match.
04:30Some perks are universal,
04:31while others are tailored specifically to each class.
04:34We're experimenting with these double-edged designs,
04:36and can't wait to hear your feedback.
04:37Let us know which perks you feel are fun and exciting,
04:40and which ones maybe missed the mark.
04:41We're adding a new unique item
04:43for each class this season.
04:44For the Barbarian,
04:45they'll receive the Saber of Saughal,
04:47which allows you to gain increased damage
04:48for each damaging skill you have equipped,
04:51plus a bonus burst of damage
04:53when you use those skills.
04:55The Druid gets the Kilt of the Blackwing.
04:57With this,
04:58Ravens deal more damage,
05:00and shape-shifting or using a companion skill
05:02summons a Raven to attack nearby enemies.
05:05We've already seen some really creative builds
05:07forming around this world.
05:09Necromancers can expect to see
05:10the Gospel of the Devotee.
05:11Basic skills are empowered,
05:13and hitting an enemy with a basic attack
05:15causes them to take increased damage
05:17from your other basic attacks.
05:20Rogues are getting the Orphan Maker.
05:22Basic and Core skills with this weapon now reload.
05:25Reload skills deal increased damage,
05:27and every second reload skill
05:29gains double the bonus.
05:30The Sorcerers can find Galvanic Azerite.
05:34Lightning damage magnetizes enemies for four seconds,
05:37making them emit crackling energy
05:39and take more lightning damage.
05:41If two magnetized enemies collide,
05:43they pull each other together.
05:45And finally for the Spearborn,
05:47Hishai Kusungi,
05:48which are new Spearborn gloves.
05:50The Protector can be invoked at range
05:52and pulls inward with its smashes.
05:55Enemies caught inside
05:56take more damage from Gorilla skills.
05:58Double if they're knocked down or at once.
