00:27Uzbekistan is gathering cultural heritage from across the world.
00:31The Center for Islamic Civilization, now taking shape in Tashkent, will preserve this heritage and provide a space for dialogue and mutual understanding.
00:42Positioned along the ancient Silk Road, Uzbekistan has long been a cradle of scholarship.
00:48It is the birthplace of world, renowned thinkers such as Avicenna, Al-Berouni and Al-Kharazmi, pioneers in medicine, astronomy, mathematics and philosophy.
00:59The new center seeks to reconnect the world with this profound legacy while addressing modern challenges through knowledge, culture and shared human values.
01:11The center is designed as more than a museum. It combines a library, restoration and digitization laboratories, research departments, all focused on making the past relevant for the future generations.
01:27In a half of the year, there are hundreds of thousands of experts and thousands of people who are interested in the future of the people who are interested in the future of the world.
01:45Each hall tells a distinct story from the origins of humanity to the era following the arrival of Islam up to present day.
02:12It also features elements related to different phases.
02:29At a time when cultural differences often create tension, the center is intended as a platform for dialogue, scholarship and the promotion of moderate perspectives.
02:40So I think the center has a very important purpose which is both local, regional and international.
02:49With some of the challenges that we face in today's world, conflict between cultures and civilizations within societies, I think the examples of the past have lessons for all of us.
03:01The concept is built around civilizations, personalities and discoveries telling history through people who shaped it, not just through artifacts.
03:13I think it's very exciting what the Center for Islamic Civilizations is doing in order to promote understanding of the history and heritage of this part of the world that perhaps historically in European and in American academic and museum settings has been neglected and hasn't been talked about as much as it deserves to be.
03:16The Center
03:44The Center integrates traditional and modern design and will offer workshops, lectures and exhibitions that make Islamic history accessible to different audiences.

04:02They had a golden age of science and knowledge that has impacted our world.
04:04And that story, we are trying to deliver that in the children's exhibition at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
04:12So we have developed a great narrative for them with lots of interactive games and immersive experiences.
04:21And Islam has two centers. One is the Middle East and the second is the Central Asia.
04:26Uzbekistan has a legacy, a very important legacy from 9th to 13th century, then from 14th century, Timurids. We know make a center here is very important.
04:37By linking the wisdom of the past with the needs of the present, the Center for Islamic Civilization aims to build bridges between cultures and generations, encouraging learning, cooperation and dialogue.
