Matt Maher gives his take on Villa's victory over Burnley - as they made it four wins in a row.
Transcript
00:00Good evening from Villa Park where Villa made it four straight wins with a 2-1 win over Burnley.
00:08Daniel Marlon, the surprise somewhat star of the show, his first Premier League start of the season,
00:14his first Premier League goals, one in each half, two excellent finishes from him from the Netherlands International.
00:23Kept Villa's renaissance going, nervier than it needed to be at the end.
00:28Uga Chukwu with a goal for Burnley from a corner, second week in succession of Villa conceded from a corner,
00:35which is unusual for them that made this game, the scoreline looking much closer than the game probably was really.
00:41Burnley were always in it, but Villa created a lot of chances and Martin Dubravka, the Clarence keeper, had an excellent game,
00:48otherwise Villa would have won this more comfortably.
00:51The biggest thing you could say about today really, apart from the excellence of Marlon,
00:55was that this felt routine for large spells, certainly for the first 75 minutes,
01:00and that's not something you've been able to say much about Villa this season,
01:04but it really does feel the last 10-11 days they have turned the corner.
01:08Obviously it was only a fortnight ago that Unai Emery was saying that his players were lazy when they drew 1-1 at Sunderland.
01:15Now, you know, he's got the reaction that he needed. This was Unai Emery's 80th win in his 150th match in charge of the club.
01:25No manager, no Villa manager has got to 81, not even close.
01:30It does feel that this season is now up and running, alive and kicking.
01:34Two wins in the Europa League, two wins in the Premier League, up to 13th.
01:38The real test, the big test comes after the international break.
01:42Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool, Villa's next three Premier League games.
01:47So we'll really find out just how resurgent, just how much this team has kicked on from obviously the start of the season.
01:53Marlon obviously the star, Lamar Bogard also excellent, looking a really handy player.
02:01Amadou Ananam and Ross Barkley back fit, they both got back on the pitch in another positive for Villa.
02:07But they may find it hard to dislodge Bogard from the team, or certainly a regular place in the team on this form.
02:13So another positive day for Villa.
