00:00how disappointed were you with that defeat and also the nature of the defeat massively
00:19disappointed everyone because it hurts how the game was played so I've seen 60-70 minutes a fantastic
00:31performance of our team and once again we didn't decide the game when we could have decided it
00:40it's happened a few times and I think this is when I'm I'd say now having played us in 12 games in
00:47this season so when we think was the first defeat and I think let's say this is maybe the missing link
00:54to be really a top team in the Premier League is having this efficiency and decide the game when
00:58you when you can decide I think you don't have more clear chances than we had in the first 60 minutes
01:03when you play away at Everton very good team very well organized and and and then when as long as
01:09it's 1-0 it's it's always everything is possible and then we made one mistake in defense and we
01:15don't make many mistakes in in our defense but we made one and they got the penalty and the game
01:20was open yeah and then it was who gets the lucky punch and takes it today it was Everton so congrats
01:25uh to them uh but yeah it it really hurts because we all feel it was it was our fault
01:35you've spoken before about the importance of momentum do you think that that's also kind of
01:41what this side of the game today with after the equalizer that that Everton just had the momentum
01:45and and and you didn't uh yes yeah and again it feels for me because we we left we we we let them in the game
01:55yeah because we didn't take our clear chances our first half fantastic performance you know when
02:00I remember the last game so we also last year we lost both games 2-1 but when I compare the performances
02:07so I think this was by far the best one yeah and um but 1-0 is and then it's it's it's it's premier
02:14league football every team is possible is is is uh uh every team can score in in the premier league yeah
02:22with one situation with set place and this happened today and uh but on the other side it's it's part of
02:30a development yeah that we're now um it's never a straight line up I think we had we have made a few
02:37steps forward in the last couple of months and and yeah today now we have to feel this disappointment
02:43this pain and then uh yeah we will uh learn from it and try to improve it it seemed like some of your
02:50players look quite tired um sort of late on in the game or sort of after the sort of as you say like 70th minute
02:56um do you think that the sort of result was partly down to the number of games you played and the
03:02number of minutes in their legs at all you don't think that was anything no no it would be cheap
03:07excuse and it's easy to say but uh and uh we will have to schedule until the hopefully until the end of
03:15the season because then we have a long journey in the cup competitions and um
03:20um i think no nobody had this feeling for 60 minutes yeah and when we are maybe two or three
03:26no lab i think the game goes completely ends completely different and then everybody would say
03:32wow no no physical issue and it was just you know when you get the equalizer at home you get the momentum
03:41yeah you get the the the energy again and for us yes it's it's it's and also the players are feeling it
03:48there then you have in your mind oh we could have decided it already yeah and so that's going on we
03:55tried to bring on a few fresh legs but today it didn't work and just a slight positive um jeremy pino
04:04seems to have played really well both you know against dinamo kiev and and today as well how
04:09pleased are you how he's settled in and how he's sort of starting to make a bigger difference yeah very
04:15pleased so it's exactly what we what we have why we signed him yeah he's such an understanding of the
04:22of the pitch great work of the of the space sorry um how he moves in in in the right areas confident he's
04:29with the ball and he also has a great work ethic you know how he's working out of possession and always
04:35supporting um our wing backs so yeah it's very very positive uh how he's performing and how he's uh you
04:44how quick he has settled in
04:54hi oliver just in terms of the unbeaten run as a whole ending i mean 19 games and it looks so
05:02close to being 20 how big an achievement was it to actually go on a run of that length
05:07the wrong question today i'm a terrible loser so uh maybe in the international break i can reflect on
05:17this great run but i told the players um but it's i think when i talk about it you you it's not my my
05:25feeling at the moment even i know it but i told the players that they can be really proud uh on themselves
05:31is the next chapter they wrote into crystal palace uh history book after winning two trophies now the longest
05:36unbeaten run in history in over 120 years or whatever so it's a huge achievement from the players and and
05:43so uh they deserve all the credit and on the other side it just feels i feel it should it should have been
05:50at least 20 now so um yeah but it's it's now time also sometimes you need now i think maybe we need to
05:59feel this pain again uh you don't want it but sometimes you need it and uh to to make the next
06:06step forward and then now his fingers are crossed with many players going on the international duties
06:11that everybody comes back fit and healthy and then we will uh go on starting the next one
06:18i love it um jack really just went on tv and said that adam wharton was the best player on the pitch in his
06:24opinion there's a lot been made about england and adam i just wanted to get your thoughts on his
06:28performance today oh yes it was very good but not just this game in many games and uh i think it's it's
06:37yeah exactly showed uh where he's excellent how quick he finds solutions and what i i like today
06:45because sometimes we're speaking about he's always passing with one or two touches sometimes you also
06:49can drive the ball and this is what he showed today and and i think we had a very good set
06:54up today we knew either the press was meant to mend and we wanted to go in behind quickly or when they've
07:00just like in the first half and chai has one as 110 and then it's difficult to control both of our
07:06sixes and adam and taiji worked so well in these spaces and then we could always break the first
07:11the first pressing line and could run uh so this is also how the goal happened and then they went
07:16with the with the midfielder higher and then we found uh jeremy pino the 10 and the other 10 was
07:23free and we had a 2v1 or at the end the 3v2 situation so i think every player worked so well
07:29and then adam knows because his understanding because because of his pre-orientation he always
07:33has the solution before he gets the ball but the players have to be in the right areas and they have done it
07:38today um great over a long period uh but um yeah it wasn't good enough
07:52Oliver you know at crystal palace with the way your fans are passionate and noisy they are what an
07:56impact they can play on the game how worthy was you about that happening at everton today at this new
08:01stadium and the way the fans are on top of of the players every every fan deserves a huge credit for
08:11for the support especially in england and i i love every single stadium of course i love sellers most
08:16but it's always a great atmosphere wherever i haven't played in in one stadium here in england where it
08:22wasn't a great atmosphere so i remember we played monday evening eight o'clock at doncaster the rain comes
08:29sideways two degrees you know you don't go out with your dog in this in this weather and the stadium
08:34was full and the atmosphere was fantastic so i think this is this is what what you in england can be
08:39really proud of that the support of of your team and and yeah so i think they were quite silent over
08:47uh over 60 70 minutes so also we helped them a little bit to get back and then yes it was very loud and
08:54and then this really nice stadium and and and um yeah unfortunately we lost thank you okay that's it
09:03everyone thanks very much
