00:00We're going live now to Venezuela to hear statements of the executive vice-president of the country, Del Sur Rodriguez.

00:09Organization of our communal circuits,

00:14and our territories, and our national territories.

00:19If they dare to attack Venezuela, the Venezuelan people is organized,

00:25it's ready and trained and enrolled to defend peace.

00:34We're not a country that is a threat to anyone.

00:41We respect international law.

00:45We relate to other countries with brotherhood, cooperation, friendship.

00:50We do not threaten any people. We do not cause damage to any people.

00:58The Venezuelan people today is on permanent alert to defend peace and tranquility in Venezuela,

01:08to guarantee our peaceful future.

01:10Those who want an aggression against Venezuela will not be able to succeed

01:18because they would have to overcome the strength of the spirit of this country

01:28to defend its peace and its tranquility.

01:30And we are close to Christmas and we already have the Christmas spirit in us

01:36with collective harmony and our families

01:40to feel more united nationwide

01:45and a collective responsibility which is the responsibility of Defender Venezuela.

01:50Of the last 100 years, President Maduro said we have watched this perfect fusion,

01:59political people, police and army.

02:04We also saw support from other countries like Colombia.

02:09First of all, we want to acknowledge the courage of our friend,

02:16of our brother president from Colombia, Petro.

02:21We are raising the flags of, we Latin American and Caribbean countries,

02:26we are raising the flags of truth.

02:28We don't have anything to do with drug traffic to the United States.

02:34It is something that pertains to the United States, to its system,

02:40internal, domestic, its health system, which does not guarantee a cure for addicts.

02:51And they want to solve their domestic issues, declaring wars on other countries

02:56and try to disturb tranquility in a whole region.

03:01So this is not against just Venezuela.

03:04It's against all of the Americas.

03:07They want to create disturbance just like they did with the economic war,

03:13which has created an influx of immigrants.

03:17And they have disturbed stability in our region, in Venezuela,

03:23and they are trying to attack Venezuela.

03:25But if the Venezuelan people has, there's something that has demonstrated its capacity

03:29to withstand and heal its own wounds in the economy and seek economic development for our people

03:43through its own sacrifice and will determination.

03:47And today we are guaranteeing peace.

03:51And when we say there is a fusion, a union between the people and the military and the police,

04:00it is because we are integrated at every single territorial level,

04:05but at systemic integration as well, protection, defense of Venezuela and its peace.

04:11And to wrap up, you have said Venezuela will not kneel before any empire.

04:20What can you say to the U.S. Empire?

04:23Yesterday, President Maduro said it very clearly.

04:26We will never yield.

04:27We will not hear any other call other than that from the Venezuelan people.

04:36The Venezuelan people loves independence, self-determination.

04:41We do believe in the right of peoples to decide their own destiny,

04:46their own political system or economic system and social systems based on our culture,

04:52our national identity.

04:55Above all, the most sacred thing is based on our history,

05:01the history of liberators, the blood that is in that liberators' blood,

05:09which is present in present generations,

05:13people that believe sovereignty is sacred.

05:16So thank you very much for the leadership of the U.S.
