00:00I didn't do anything to her. What I did was I parked in my own driveway that I had paid for.
00:06Look where my car is parked and that is where it's going to be parked from now on because
00:12after a year of me putting up with my neighbor telling me I can't park there, I finally decided,
00:20hey, this is my driveway. I pay $6,500 a year in the taxes to live here.
00:25She'd put up with it long enough. Stephanie wasn't playing by her neighbor's rules anymore.
00:30And although it's a shared driveway, I will park on my side of the driveway. She usually parks her
00:36little red car on this side and she wanted me to park straight ahead on her side because she doesn't
00:43like when I block her walking in. But guess what? This is where I walk in. So I'm finally sticking
00:49up for myself and I will be parking at my walkway to my front door from now on. Period.
00:57Everyone was asking, why now? What pushed her to finally act?
01:01I didn't do anything to her. What I did was I parked in my own driveway that I paid for closest
01:08to where the door is to enter my home. If she's not comfortable with it, she can either pull up
01:16farther on her own side or back in so she can walk out right in her driveway. I didn't do anything to
01:24her. Her neighbor seems to think the rules don't apply to her. Parking wherever she likes,
01:29whenever she wants, with no consideration for anyone else. But yes, actually both cars can
01:34fit in the driveway. She just does not want me parking at my own entrance because she doesn't
01:41like having to walk between the cars. But a shared driveway is very common in Portland. So my driveway
01:49extends. You can see where my shed is. That's the end of my driveway. And here is my front door.
01:59There is her front door. In the end, she's only making things harder for herself. Parking so far
02:05away. She's just adding extra steps to get to her own front door. And for the people that were
02:10talking about the fact that she's a renter and she should have to adjust to me. No, it doesn't
02:16matter if you rent or own your home. She's still paying to live there. So the internet thinks she's
02:21been too kind to her neighbor. Anyway, we're going to leave it like this for a few and see how it goes.
02:26I've suggested that several times. I guess she has found where she wants to park. That's fine. I don't
02:32know why she wants to park in the back in the dark. There's where she's going to park now,
02:36I guess. So she'll have to come by my back door, my kitchen window, and where my kitchen table is.
02:44So she's got to, she wants to park there now and walk all the way back to her front door. But
02:51all right, that's what makes her happy. We'll just wave each time she comes back. But looks like
02:58she got it figured out. So this should be the end of this, I'm hoping.
