00:00And to the market open, lots of gold, that's, you know, really been the trending asset class.
00:08So the Nifty, of course, it seems like we're headed in for once again, a very, very quiet start.
00:13And flat for the Nifty, that's where it settled at in the pre-open trades.
00:17Let's see which way we actually head in terms of various sector movers.
00:21Yesterday, of course, it was all about the Adani names on one hand and IT on the other.
00:26It was a bit of a tug of war that was playing out.
00:28Although not really an Apple to Apple comparison, given the IT weightage is much higher than the Adani pool of stocks.
00:34But nonetheless, you know, some of those benchmark heavyweights as well did not really do anything in trade yesterday.
00:41But let's see whether the picture changes any much today or not.
00:46You've got the Nifty 50 still pretty quiet.
00:4925,240 is where we're currently at for the Nifty.
00:54Let's get stock specific.
00:55Let's see what the Nifty IT index firstly is up to and whether there is a continuation of the sourd sell event there or not.
01:02Nifty IT, a little bit of stability actually, 35,549.
01:07And it's not in the red, it's just marginally in the green.
01:11So at least the selling seems to have obeyed it for now.
01:13And that's what you can see for TCS, for AHA Technologies and the entire gamut of, you know, stocks over there.
01:22Other than that, of course, you know, like we've been pointing out, a lot of stocks which are in the news this morning.
01:28And the day one of festive sales has augured very well for the likes of Hyundai, for Maruti.
01:34We were chatting about the DGDR proposition on anti-dumping duty on Chinese cranes.
01:40Sangli, Ace Construction, look out for that.
01:43ABB India, CG Power, Siemens, TD Power Systems, LG Equipment.
01:48They've also proposed an ADD on Chinese electrical steel for the next five years.
01:55So these stocks also stand to be a little sensitive to that.
01:59There's, of course, KEC International.
02:00It's bagged multiple orders worth about 32, 43 odd crore rupees for global power projects.
02:06And J.K. Lakshmi Cement, which from 16.5 NTPA has now raised its total capacity to 18.
02:12KEC, by the way, has gapped up in trade.
02:15It's a 6.5% move that you're seeing on that stock.
02:17And J.K. Lakshmi Cement is holding out very well.
02:20There you go.
02:21KEC, up now, almost counting down to a 7% move on that stock.
02:26Brigade, the JD in Bangalore for residential project on 7.5 acres.
02:32And Alcom Labs, given that they've launched a cancer buy similar here in India.
02:37So these are stocks which are also in focus.
02:40KFintech, Tata Investment, Vedanta, neutral to negative news flow on these stocks.
02:45So look out for what they also do in a trade.
02:50Other than that, of course, you know, there's GE shipping, FCI.
02:53Remember, these stocks have been holding up from building ships to hiring them for transportation.
02:59That's the new government focus area is the shipbuilding stocks, which, of course, are in focus because of that.
03:07Other than that, there is, of course, the coal financiers.
03:12Let's check in on those.
03:13What the likes of Mutut and Mannapuram are up to.
03:16We were just chatting about whether or not you're going to see traction there.
03:20So, mildly higher for both Mutut and Mannapuram.
03:23They're not really seeing much of traction.
03:25I think the big gainer today is the auto pack.
03:29So, B. Datata Motors, Hero Motor Corp, that's where you're seeing the big moves coming in.
03:34Maruti, Hyundai, given that they did account for positive day one Navratri sales come by post the GST implementation.
03:44Hero Motor Corp, Maruti.
03:45Maruti is your big winner today.
03:463% of the move coming in on Maruti.
03:49And even Hyundai holding up and almost counting down to that 3% gain mark.
03:53So, that's not looking all that bad.
03:56The big move today is actually in IT.
03:58Look at the rebound that's actually playing out.
04:02You know, in forces, 1% higher.
04:05We're seeing similar moves on a TCS, on an HCL technology.
04:09The selling seems to have abated early days yet.
04:12I don't know whether this little bit of a strength is going to get sold off into the pro half a percent higher.
04:18But let's see where these stocks actually settle down in trade.
04:22And I can see green picks and sizable ones at that, even on an M&M as well as Aisha, they as well have held out quite smartly in trade.
04:32Sushi, anything else that is important?
04:34No, Aisha, I believe that it's only a day of autos yet again coming in because it's not just some of these OEMs that are buzzing along with that.
04:42Select auto ancillary companies are also buzzing.
04:45Just yesterday, we spoke with the management of Fiat.
04:47They are sounding very positive on the demand going ahead.
04:50Almost a 2% jump coming in on this counter.
04:53Even some of these counters like Minda Corp, they are also holding on to the gains of 1%.
04:58SupraJet Engineering, Bosch, these are your big movers in today's trading session.
05:03Tree Cement, of course, is one of the other candidates wherein brokerage note has come in.
05:07That stock is also holding higher by almost 1%.
05:11Select Radani group of counters.
05:12There we are seeing a bit of a profit booking kicking in.
05:15Within paints, there's continued selling pressure, cancine, arulac as well as Asian paints.
05:22They are down in the trades right now.
05:26A bit of a profit booking is what we are getting to see in some of the other cement counters as well
05:31because Ultratech Cement particularly is down over a percent.
05:34But nothing much on the index front because as of now, Nifty 50 is absolutely flat and so is Nifty Bank.
05:42But the good part is they are still holding on to that shade of green.
05:45But Kunal, what is your take on this?
