Amorim says former players are entitled to their opinions but remains adamant the team system is not the issue
Transcript
00:00Some former players have been quite heavy on their criticism this week. Wayne Rooney
00:04saying this is not Manchester United, the culture is not that. Gary Neville has been
00:08similarly criticising the system. I mean, can that be quite hard to listen to? How do you
00:12filter all of that? It's normal and you cannot run away from the results
00:20and then you have a baggage from the last season. But for the last season, for me,
00:23doesn't matter. In relation to the system, we already spoke about that. We had six games
00:30this season and we lost three. When you look at the game against City, it was the first thing
00:36that you think when the game starts is the system. I think you don't think about the system in that
00:41moment. And Brentford. I don't look the way we concede goals, the way we create chances.
00:49If there is nothing to do with the system, that is my opinion. And I'm not saying that this team
00:55would play better in the different system or not. That is not my point. My point is,
01:00if I look at the games that we didn't win, the most important thing when I watch the game is not
01:06we lost because of the system. That is my opinion. Then people have different opinions. That's okay.
