00:57against DPWH officials and contractors in Bulacan flood control projects.
01:02The complaint covers two separate cases.
01:04The first involves Wawao Builders, IAM Construction Corporation, Sims Construction Trading,
01:11the Diskayas St. Timothy Construction Corporation, and officials from the DPWH Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office.
01:18The second case is against Zaldi Co. Sunwest Incorporated and officials of the DPWH Regional Office in Mimaropa.
01:26Investigations conducted by the DPWH and the Commission on Audit, with evidence presented at congressional hearings,
01:33point to irregularities in the procurement of multiple Bulacan flood control projects.
01:38Former DPWH Bulacan District Engineer Henry Alcantara earlier testified,
01:43Co. received kickbacks amounting to billions of pesos from various Bulacan projects.
01:47The DPWH also seeks to revoke the licenses of engineers and accountants involved in the Bulacan flood control project controversy.
01:57Dismissed Bulacan engineers Henry Alcantara, Bryce Hernandez, and JP Mendoza
02:01are named in the complaint file before the Professional Regulation Commission,
02:05along with 17 other DPWH staff.

02:11The Commission on Audit flags four more alleged anomalous flood control projects in Bulacan worth 351.38 million pesos.
02:23The projects were reported to be fully completed and paid in full,
02:26but the audit team found that the projects were non-existent.
02:30Two projects involved contractor Sims Construction Trading,
02:33while the other projects involved top-notch catalyst builders and 888 Construction and Supply.
02:39Former District Engineer Henry Alcantara was found liable for all four,
02:44while former Assistant District Engineer Bryce Hernandez was liable for three projects.
02:50The audit team says DPWH Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office did not submit supporting documents for the projects.
02:57The COA says the DPWH officials and the private contractors
03:01faced violations of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act,
03:04malversation of public funds, falsification of public documents,
03:09and violation of the Government Procurement Reform Act.
03:14An ethics complaint is filed on Thursday, October 2,
03:17against Senator Cheese Escudero over his ties to a government contractor
03:21who donated 30 million pesos to his 2022 senatorial campaign.
03:25The complaint was filed by lawyer and publisher Eldridge Marvin Aceron
03:30and cited serious concerns over the integrity of campaign finance,
03:34public procurement, and corporate transparency.
03:38In his complaint, Aceron cites Lawrence Lubiano's 91% ownership
03:41of Metroways Healthcare and Medical System, Inc.,
03:45which bagged government contracts in the Bicol region.
03:48Escudero earlier confirmed Lubiano is his friend,
03:51but denied any involvement in awarding contracts to him.
03:54He also alleges the ethics complaint stemmed from his privileged speech
03:58on September 29, where he named former House Speaker Martin Romualdez
04:01as the one behind a quote-unquote script
04:04to implicate senators in the flood control controversy.
04:09P-pop girl group Bini is back with its newest Filipino single, First Love.
04:14The track is released with a music video where the girls embody modern cupids.
04:24It also has special appearances from former PBB collab edition housemates
04:35Esnir Ranolio and Clarice De Guzman.
04:39De Guzman also appears with her girlfriend, Trina Ray,
04:42showcasing their queer, kilig-worthy romance.
04:45The sweet-sounding single is a teaser for the girls' upcoming full-length album.
04:48First Love is Bini's first Filipino release since their hit Salamin Salamin in 2024.
04:55Before this new single, they dropped three consecutive English tracks,

05:19arrives Friday with a promotional blitz that includes midnight sales at Target stores,
05:23a release party at movie theaters around the globe,
05:26and pop-up experiences in New York and Los Angeles.
05:29The release follows the tortured poet's department, Swift's 11th studio album.

05:50when she revealed the name of her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl.
05:55Swift emerged as a cultural and economic force.
