Meet the real people behind the real story of Roofman, only in theaters October 10. Based on an unbelievable true story, Roofman follows Jeffrey Manchester (Channing Tatum), an Army veteran and struggling father who turns to robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs, earning him the nickname: Roofman. After escaping prison, he secretly lives inside a Toys “R” Us for six months, surviving undetected while planning his next move. But when he falls for Leigh (Kirsten Dunst), a divorced mom drawn to his undeniable charm, his double life begins to unravel, setting off a compelling and suspenseful game of cat and mouse as his past closes in.

00:16And so I cast so many of the real people from the real story.

00:20I was the original driver that Jeffrey Manchester escaped up from.

00:24He studied the truck coming in every day.

00:26We just walked right up in there and got up out of the truck.

00:29People came to my office and said that the man that I had been dating was on America's Most Wanted.

00:36He'd spend time with the kids.

00:38He was so nice.

00:39Everyone embraced him.

00:40I love having so many new friends.

00:42Of course, no one knew he was on the run.

00:44Find a safe place to hide for a few months.

00:47He got involved in our church.

00:48There was nothing about him that led me to think, gosh, there's something here.

00:56I never knew there was an intelligence unit here in Charlotte.
