Emma Hayes admits that the exposure of European football has allowed the region to surpass American stars

00:00I think the reality is that the Champions League and the European Championships

00:05favour or edge forward players that are playing in those competitions

00:10because there's just more of them.

00:13So I think as the game develops in the CONCACAF Champions Cup

00:18then hopefully that will change.

00:21But the NWSL is a fierce league, it really is.

00:24It's got top quality players playing in it

00:27and I do think that players are overlooked there

00:32but I know watching it firsthand it's as good a league as the WSL.
