00:00A lot of people are focused on love.
00:05That's not complicated at all, actually.
00:07Love is actually easy once you know yourself.
00:10The most difficult part is knowing yourself and your purpose.
00:13That's very, very complicated.
00:15And it takes really being real with yourself, being honest with your strengths and weaknesses.
00:22You have to be realistic with what are you actually good at, like for real, not lying
00:28to yourself.
00:29A lot of people love to lie to themselves, like, ooh, they're dreaming away about I'm
00:34going to be good at this and that.
00:37Are you though?
00:38Or do you feel it in your core?
00:40Because you'll know what's real.
00:43Some people are just curious.
00:44Some people are, like for me, I was insatiably curious.
00:48It was annoying.
00:49I mean, deep down I always knew what I liked, but I couldn't accept it alone.
00:55Like I wanted to just see everything.
00:56So for example, I know I'm creative.
00:59I know I love psychology.
01:00So I'm thinking, I don't know, it just felt boring to me to like want to be a psychologist
01:05or something.
01:06So I wanted to poke my head around things.
01:09So like, I poked my head in the film industry for example.
01:14A lot of people think about LA and the film industry and stuff.
01:17So like, I was distracting myself on the internet with like different things about the film
01:23industry.
01:24And this is kind of what I was getting at.
01:25A little bit of action will take away all of that distraction.
01:28So once I had experience in the film industry, just a few experiences was all I needed.
01:34And this is how you really take action within the action as well.
01:38So once I had the opportunity, I spoke to every single person, asked them their story, asked
01:45them what they do, asked them why they like it, asked them what their actual job is, what
01:49their time looks like, what the people look like, what the money looks like.
01:52You have to be fearless and ask things that are uncomfortable for people.
01:56Talk about money.
01:57Talk about time.
01:58You're allowed to talk about money.
02:00Be real like, people will be open.
02:06You'd be surprised.
02:07No one's telling you, you can't talk about those things.
02:09So find out.
02:10And as soon as you really find out the reality, things click.
02:13And then once it clicks, like after I found out, not for me, I'm not distracted by anything
02:19that has to do with the film industry, anything, anyone, nothing, like I'm not distracted by people
02:25with their fancy stuff or people with their fancy jobs in the film industry because
02:29i don't want it i don't i'm not interested so that's how you ground yourself it you like you
02:35have to figure out where do you fit and my real passion is psychology and sociology i'm a nurse
02:41and i've like poked my head around so many areas that i can fully embrace who i am i wish i could
02:48have embraced who i was younger when i actually didn't know who i was i was just in denial i did
02:54a million different kinds of creative projects that were interesting but kind of like a waste
03:00of time i could have been putting that energy into my one area so it's a matter of uh you know
03:08allowing your curiosity to flourish but ideally in the future we'll have homeschooling that will
03:14prepare us for uh doing this in our teen years and maybe even as children so we can not be so
03:20curious in our 20s and wasting time
