00:00Wow, ten years in the making, how does it feel that your little baby is out there to the whole wide world?
00:14Absolutely excited and I can't wait for people to see the film.
00:18We have been developing the movie for almost a decade.
00:22I've been a fan for 40 something years.
00:24I walked into that movie theater when I was 12, 11 or 12 years old and it changed my life.
00:31It was the first film to use computer graphics, hard to imagine now.
00:36And it just showed me a world I never knew existed.
00:39So to be in the movie now and to be working with this great group of people, incredible.
00:45Super, super excited.
00:47I mean, I think, you know, the young me just wouldn't believe it.
00:51I don't think the young me would believe it.
00:53I played the video game.
00:54I saw the movie a hundred times.
00:56I love Jeff Bridges.
00:58So all of these things, I just, I just have so much gratitude.
01:02You know, that's probably the feeling is just gratitude.
01:06Yeah, I feel very fortunate.
01:08You push for this.
01:09I've heard you push for this.
01:10What's the next one you get pushed for?
01:11We all want to see you in Star Wars.
01:12We want to see you in another franchise.
01:13Oh, okay.
01:14Yeah, I mean, I love that too.
01:15But, you know, for me, I got a chance to be in Blade Runner, which was another one my favorite.
01:19I got a chance to be in Tron.
01:21I got a chance to be a part of so many amazing projects.
01:26I really feel like it's all just icing on the cake from here on out.
01:30And like working with someone like Jeff Bridges is absolutely incredible.
01:34He's everything you think he is.
01:36He's generous.
01:37He's kind.
01:38He's fun.
01:39He's funny.
01:40And I just love him.
01:41I love his acting.
01:42And, you know, it made the experience of making Tron Aries even better.
01:45Yeah.
01:46Yeah.
01:4730 seconds of Mars.
01:48Next time the soundtrack, please.
01:4930 seconds of Mars.
01:50Yeah.
01:51For Tron Aries, the sequel, we'll try to get ourselves in on the soundtrack for sure.
01:57But Nine Inch Nails, I'm a huge fan.
01:59And as we can hear over there, super cool.
02:02The music.
02:03They did an amazing job.
02:04Thank you so much.
02:05This is Greg.
02:06Kind of extraordinary.
02:08Kind of felt like it was cardboard and rubber bands.
02:11I know it's shocking.
02:12You're used to the sci-fi world, obviously.
02:15Yes.
02:16It's been a while, but yeah.
02:17Was it nice stepping back in?
02:19It was, actually.
02:21Things have moved on a bit since I last dipped my toe in.
02:25And this is much bigger than anything that I've been involved in before in the sci-fi world.
02:32Way back when, when we were doing X-Files, I feel like we were kind of doing it in like the
02:40way that the early days of Doctor Who was.
02:46That we kind of felt like it was cardboard and rubber bands kind of thing is what it
02:50kind of felt like at the beginning.
02:52And I think the films, and yeah, anyway.
02:57Yes.
02:58Well, it's the year I feel for Comeback's Oasis Boy Zone.
03:01How about giving David a call?
03:02Everyone would like to see it, wouldn't they?
03:05Oh, that.
03:07Sorry, it took me a minute.
03:09Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps, yeah.
03:12Yeah, great.
03:13And when you were, how are you years ago?
03:151982 was it the last, the first drawn?
03:17Yeah, of course.
03:18Do you have memories of it?
03:19I do, yeah.
03:20Can you believe you're now in the franchise?
03:22It's kind of extraordinary.
03:26I mean, it feels very much like the whole franchise has kind of caught up with history in a sense.
03:33I mean, I know at the beginning when the first film came out, it really did feel like science fiction in that everything that was in the film was really, really in our future.
03:45But, you know, there's quite a lot that's in the film, which is in our present, which makes it even more terrifying.
03:54So, it feels very timely, yeah.
03:58Your kids must think you're very cool these days in this.
04:01No, not even this.
04:02It's pretty cool.
04:03No, not even this.
04:04Not even this makes me cool.
04:05I know, it's shocking.
04:06Oh, Julie, thank you very much indeed.
04:09Let's talk about Jaren, how special he is as the main man in this.
04:12Great.
04:13What was it like when you found out he was going to be on board?
04:15Well, he hired me.
04:16Oh, yeah.
04:17So, that was easy.
04:19There you go.
04:20Yeah, yeah.
04:21He's been like, he's been like, I think pushing this, you know, boulder up the hill or whatever you say it for almost 10 years now.
04:31Like, he's really been fighting.
04:33It wouldn't, if it wasn't for him, it wouldn't be a movie, a Neutron movie.
04:37So, and I think he's one of the best actors in the world.
04:41And I, so I just felt very lucky, you know, to be a part of it and come on board and, you know, try to solve this together with him.
04:50As he was such a part of it, how come there's no 30 Seconds of Master songs in this?
04:54Nine Inch Nails are dominating it.
04:55Yeah.
04:56I think, I think that there's like, he never brought it up.
05:00Like, he, I think he felt like it was, obviously being huge fans, both of us, of Nine Inch Nails.
05:08I don't think he really even went there in his mind, you know.
05:12And he's also like, he doesn't really love to see himself on screen and as a, as a, as a, when you, when you compose music for a movie, you have to watch the movie a lot.
05:25So, I don't think that would have been for him.
05:27I love that.
05:28Yeah.
05:29Just finally, your son's here.
05:30I saw, what do you think of these movies?
05:32Sorry?
05:33Is that your son earlier?
05:34Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:35He must be really cool.
05:36You know, working.
05:37Well, he's like, he's only three.
05:38He doesn't really, he's just like, oh, the moon, you know.
