00:00This bank branch already has its windows blocked with metal panels,
00:05the same ones used during previous protests.
00:08Precautions are being taken ahead of tomorrow's demonstration in Paris,
00:12but the owner of this café takes a different tone.
00:15It's like it is during every strike.
00:18You do half the business you usually do. That's it.
00:21Nearly 5,000 law enforcement officers are expected to be deployed
00:24to maintain order during the march.
00:27On Thursday, we expect there will probably be some people
00:30who will try to cause chaos during the demonstration.
00:33We will immediately break up any attempt to block access to high schools,
00:36bus stations or other establishments.
00:38We will intervene immediately.
00:40Public transportation will be mostly unaffected by the strikes.
00:43In Paris, the Metron buses will run as planned,
00:46as well as the high-speed TGV train,
00:48though some interruptions are expected on the TER, RER and Intercité regional trains.
00:54The day of protest is expected to be less widespread compared to those of 18 September,
00:59and opinions differ on it.
01:01I support it. I've managed to take part in demonstrations for the last two days,
01:06and I'm going to go back because I think we need to keep it up in order to be heard.
01:10If we don't find a bit of common ground between all the parties and all the unions,
01:18we'll never get out of this.
01:19So I think it's a bit of a shame while we're waiting to see what the new government will do.
01:24In terms of air travel, delays are to be expected.
01:29Fewer strikers are also expected in the national education system,
01:33particularly in middle and high schools.
01:35A strike notice has been filed in hospitals,
01:37so those expecting to be seen should postpone non-urgent appointments.
