Hatton slams US insults at the Ryder Cup as 'not the way forward'

Tyrrell Hatton wants Europe to show a much more 'respectful' atmosphere at the next Ryder Cup after US insults

00:04For me personally, yeah, there was a lot of insults and mainly around my height or hairline or weight,

00:18some of which I've pretty much said to myself anyway, so it wasn't like anything new.

00:22I don't really think that the insults is the way forward.

00:27I would much prefer it to be a respectful atmosphere and, you know, you let the guys play and the best team wins

00:39rather than trying to affect the outcome through trying to put off players and things like that.

00:46But I don't think it will be as hostile as maybe as it was last week.

00:52I'd like to think that it will be very respectful and, yeah, that's how it should be.
