Half of Americans are more concerned than excited about AI — and the numbers are rising fast.
From creativity to relationships, many believe AI is slowly chipping away at what makes us human. Yet in areas like medicine and weather forecasting, Americans say AI can play a valuable role. So where’s the line?

This video breaks down key findings from a national survey on how Americans really feel about the rise of artificial intelligence in daily life — including which parts of society they welcome AI into, and which areas they want to keep human.

00:00Are we heading toward a future ruled by AI, or ruined by it?
00:03Half of Americans say they're more concerned than excited about AI taking over daily life.
00:08That's a sharp jump from just a few years ago.
00:11And when it comes to core human skills, like creativity or building real relationships,
00:15most believe AI will make us worse, not better.
00:19Only one in six say AI will boost creativity,
00:22and a mere 5% think it'll help people connect meaningfully with others.
00:25Yet, Americans do see AI's value in areas like forecasting the weather,
00:31finding fraud, and developing medicines.
00:33But when it comes to deeply personal matters like love, faith, or even jury selection,
00:38most say, AI stay out of it.
00:41Still, nearly three out of four believe it's crucial to understand AI,
00:45especially younger and more educated Americans,
00:47who are more likely to see its risks and its power.
00:51So, is AI helping humanity evolve?
00:53Or are we trading our abilities for algorithms?
