European Union maritime forces said they had rescued all 19 crew members on board a Dutch-flagged ship in the Gulf of Aden following an attack by the Houthis on Sept 29.

00:07Dutch-flagged ship in the Gulf of Aden, following an attack by the Houthis on Monday.
00:12The Unav4 Aspidaes, which is a EU maritime mission, said the rescue operation on the
00:17MV Minerva-Gracht vessel concluded on Tuesday, with the evacuation of all the crew members
00:24including two injured victims.
00:26They said one of the victims was seriously wounded and had been transferred to Djibouti
00:31by helicopter.
00:33They said the vessel remained adrift, and cautioned all passing vessels in the vicinity
00:37on the presence of the wreckage.
00:39On Wednesday, the Yemen-based Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack.
00:56They said the vessel was targeted because it violated the entry ban to the ports of occupied
01:11state of Palestine.
01:13The group has launched numerous assaults on vessels in the Red Sea since 2023, targeting
01:18ships they deem linked to Israel in what they describe as solidarity with Palestinians over
01:24the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.
