Yemen’s Houthi rebels have confirmed a cruise missile attack on the Dutch-flagged cargo ship MV Minervagracht in the Gulf of Aden. The strike caused a fire on board, leaving the ship at risk of sinking, and injured two crew members who were evacuated by helicopter. Houthi military officials warned that attacks “will not stop” and reiterated their ongoing maritime campaign against vessels violating their imposed bans. The attack comes amid rising tensions over the Israel-Hamas conflict, highlighting the Houthis’ expanding range of operations and threat to international shipping.
