From roaring engines to timeless designs, thousands of car enthusiasts flocked to Nairobi’s Ngong Racecourse for the 2025 Concours d’Elegance, Africa’s leading showcase of classic cars and motorcycles.
Footage shows collectors proudly displaying their vehicles as judges inspected every detail. Classic motorbikes were also centre stage.
"We have a variety of very old bikes, with the oldest being a hundred years old," said the chief judge of the competition. "We try to be as neutral as possible so as to declare a winner, but in our eyes, everyone is a winner,” he added.
Among the standout entries was a 1934 Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, with its owner noting that her family had entered four vehicles this year.
"I have always driven this car. Always had a deep love for this car. So we are hoping to do well, but there is stiff competition out there, so we are keeping our fingers crossed,” said competitor Veronica Duda.
This year’s Concours featured 79 classic cars and 28 motorcycles, with judges assessing authenticity, condition and attention to detail.
