00:14:08well this is the aftermath that we're dealing with here at the lenova center in raleigh north carolina
00:14:22as io sky came out to join ria ripley was discussing the struggle that she's having and dealing with the kabuki warriors and how conflicted

00:15:14and this relationship has broken down beyond all repair now you see ria ripley reaching for her ribs
00:15:22after suffering that insane elbow from kairi and she's consoling io obviously knowing that feeling from a week ago
00:15:35and the physical pain that io sky must be in right now it's the emotional pain that is going to sting
00:15:40even worse than those eyeballs once vision has been restored maybe some time looking at this aftermath
00:15:52kabuki warriors proving to be two dangerous individuals with poisonous mindsets
00:15:58but lines have now been drawn joe have they ever

00:18:39dirty dom's resume of course has grown and you see it right there now a double champion
00:18:54back on september 12th playing the triple a mega championship that came with the help of
00:18:59grande americano you see jd and finn by his side here as he comes down to defend the ic title
00:19:10by his side the judgment day gold just looks right on the judgment day doesn't it
00:19:16three championships now shared between them perhaps one could be lost tonight if rusev has his way
00:19:24i think you saw vengeance say all right let's uh let's head out dom's got it on his own remember
00:19:33what happened last week while dom arguably has not been backing up the likes of finn baller and jd
00:19:39mcdonough of late so it looks like they've said to the intercontinental champ going alone tonight pal let's
00:19:47see what you can do i visibly saw some confidence leaving the soul of dirty
00:19:54dom when finn and jd walked off he took that look back like you're really going that way i could use

00:21:55defense a lot of times you've seen in recent weeks you even saw right there in the ring introduction
00:21:59it's almost like dom's got one foot out the back door when it comes to being with rusev so what's
00:22:06the strategy for dom to deal with him is this the kind of thing where he actually needs to smother
00:22:10him and take the approach where the best defense is actually consistent steady offense well only one
00:22:15person is going to do any smothering here and that is rusev smothering the champ once he gets his
00:22:20hands on him let me be clear now rusev is a straight line guy smash mouth that's how he wins dom
00:22:26cannot do that tonight against somebody as big and powerful as this bulgarian somehow dirty dom
00:22:35has to navigate his way in a circuitous route to victory and how the hell he pulls that up right now
00:22:41i have no clue whatsoever did you see the distance of the bomb away and then the suplex and the violence
00:22:47that just keeps coming from rusev here early on in this ic title match can you continue i mean we
00:22:54saw just last week rusev bullying dirty dom behind the scenes demanding this opportunity dom has had
00:23:01wanted no part of this whatsoever quite understandably given the scene before our eyes that's about as
00:23:07close to a right hand knockout punch as you're gonna see as rusev and dom pulls down that top rope
00:23:13it's kind of what we were talking about now dom has to duck and weave keep moving comes with a drop
00:23:20kick and now over the top oh and rusev able to just catch him oh no oh right over the announce desk
00:23:30effortless fall away slap complete power and control from rusev
00:23:41and as rusev looks over that desired prize rusev's already trashed our desk joe test imagine how the
00:23:52body the frame of the champ who may be about oh god over it too i mean the fall away slam
00:24:01and the thought that he took on top of the reinforce announce desk and then to exit the same way wait it's
00:24:08one thing to go over it oh right into the cover trying to take the title but then that's how he also
00:24:13ridded him of the situation it's just a statement it's letting dom know only one man has control of
00:24:20this match up and a new channel soon to be former champ perhaps a big kick by rusev he has been dominating
00:24:32since this match began now conducting the chorus doing two things at once
00:24:38and things really are looking bleak for dirty dom here yeah look to creatively take control of
00:24:47someone as big and strong as this but the shots are just bouncing off
00:24:52i'm trying to paddle back in the center of the ring with a series of right hands big kick
00:24:58but five of the shots of dom are just bouncing off rusev and one big clubbing blow in return
00:25:10completely flattened the intercontinental check bb gun against howitzer
00:25:19what will tom come up with for an answer try to turn things around and defend
00:25:25his intercontinental championship well you'd have to think part of the game plan was having jd mcdonough
00:25:32and finn balor by his side to try and combat the power differential in this one well that's fallen by
00:25:39the wayside before the bell even rank well he could have used them with what happened near our announce desk
00:25:44as he just eats another vicious knee to the gut and i'll tell you this joe as a veteran of several
00:25:49groups in this industry it's always quid pro quo you scratch my back i will scratch yours but at some
00:25:56point you do have to do the scratching yourself in order to get it back and i fear the dom simply
00:26:03has not done enough of that for the judgment day of late you got my title you got my title baby boy
00:26:15oh baby boy let's be called that in the middle of a match
00:26:27first time dirty dom and rusev have ever gone one-on-one that is what is on the line the
00:26:45intercontinental championship the sixth title defense for dirty dom and it is not going his way
00:26:52at all as rusev has been putting forth a beat down dom looks to turn things around he had rusev
00:26:57screaming at him you've got my title you've got my title
00:27:04dom looking for the run as rusev goes across the ring finally has the big bulgarian wobble here and
00:27:10needs to make it stick because you might not get a second bite of this dom
00:27:13after splashing into the ball getting out of the way from rusev said just what he needs and finally
00:27:23with the wind in his sails starting to get some of that confidence back and looking like a true champ
00:27:30this to defend and retain and barely a one count that's it you put together a volley of offense you
00:27:36start to think that you are now fully in control of the match you can barely get a one count from this
00:27:41challenger and it just really shows how smart dom is wanting to avoid rusev at all costs until now
00:27:50did everything he could to avoid this challenger and here's the reason why
00:27:58three amigos may not even get off the ground instead he'll able to escape out the back door
00:28:03and trip him up and put him in position
00:28:10reflexes of dirty dog oh boy try to duck his way out of that massive line but got turned inside out
00:28:17anyway how quickly rusev can attack eyes bulging out of the back
00:28:24could be good night here dirty dog oh move once again i don't know how much he knew about it but
00:28:33instincts kicked in get out of danger self-preservation is a very important evolutionary
00:28:39trait nice oh as he just rams rusev right into the steel steps and tosses him back into the ring well
00:28:45rusev completely dropped his guard there thinking dom was a beaten man beaten he was not
00:28:50all to the midsection 619 completely winding the challenger and now on the other second rope
00:28:58what momentum for dirty dog right to the bridge of the nose rusev has no clue where is that and he's
00:29:05going up top the intercontinental champ oh and rusev gets on the way simply too much left in the tank
00:29:13too much durability for the bulgarian and a second bite of the cherry joe test match up
00:29:24oh and two and change or else rusev and that would be the ic champ that has just pissed rusev off he
00:29:33tasted gold there with that matchka kick dom equal to it but dom now defenseless
00:29:40and you can see how fired up rusev is the frustration boiling over
00:29:47oh he says i'm gonna put it out of touch right now he's going for the accolade right now oh
00:29:54dom wiggles out the back door scurrying out of there at the precise moment
00:30:00smart move once again from dirty dog he's had enough he's grabbing his two titles do you blame him
00:30:07he's got the mega championship and he's got the ic title rusev said where are you going
00:30:11well rusev knows full well a count out may win him the match but it will not win in the
00:30:15intercontinental championship not so easy is it dom you know eddie arango takes the time
00:30:22he just cracked him with the title

00:31:29however at this moment when clearing out the championship

00:40:01but the fact is our story wasn't over it wasn't over at wrestlemania when you had the element of
00:40:07surprise on your side it wasn't over a backlash either when you held my tights to steal a victory
00:40:13now our story needed to go to hell and back hell in a cell

00:40:35there are no words to describe what we did to each other the limits that were pushed in the lines that
00:40:41were crossed
00:40:46and yet somehow amidst all that i somehow found respect respect for the singular competitor that you are
00:40:58someone who courses you to raise your game to levels you didn't know you had within you respect
00:41:03for your resilience in the face of immeasurable pain
00:41:07your refusal to just stay down that will forever be a defining victory of my career

00:41:22which is why what happened next is so tragic
