00:00At the top of the NFC is where the Philadelphia Eagles remain.
00:05Kevin Walsh here with Joe Lisi on Pro Football today.
00:09And we saw a matchup between two unbeaten teams.
00:13The only 3-0 versus 3-0 game on the Sunday slate
00:17was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:21A 31-25 score.
00:23We had a Fernando Mendoza safety situation
00:26that someone somewhere was definitely impacted by that.
00:30It did not touch the closing line, though, of 3-1 in this game.
00:36No, I missed that part.
00:38I turned it off after they stopped them on fourth time.
00:41Philly went out to punt six seconds.
00:42They ran into the end zone, took the safety.
00:45Indiana-Iowa.
00:46I know.
00:46So, again, I had boots on the ground for this one.
00:51And they're just too – I don't know if the heat impacted it.
00:59Possibly.
00:59It's the second week in a row that there's a half of football from the Eagles
01:02where you go, oh, me, oh, my.
01:05If that isn't the best team in this league,
01:07if that isn't the MVP of this league,
01:09if this offense is – I mean, this team's going to win and keep on winning.
01:13And then there's another half in the same stretch where you go,
01:17so they're going to go winless, huh?
01:18They're going to go winless.
01:19They're going to fire the O.C. at the press conference.
01:21They're going to cut you.
01:22Come on.
01:22Joe, the Philadelphia Eagles saw Jalen Hurts go 15 of 16
01:27for 130 yards in the first half.
01:30He went 0 of 8 for no yards in the second half.
01:37The Eagles won.
01:38That's a part of this story.
01:40But it is not the only part of the story.
01:44The Philadelphia Eagles' inconsistency right now.
01:48You know, heavy is the crown.
01:49That is a huge story for this team through four weeks of football.
01:53I'm not concerned.
01:54I really am not.
01:55And I understand as Eagle fans you might be concerned.
01:58But I –
01:59I'm confused.
02:00Well, I think, again, I think loss of focus at times.
02:04You have – you know, it was the battle for the number one seed potentially, right?
02:08A team that was undefeated.
02:10A team that has owned you.
02:11Oh, yeah.
02:12In back-to-back years, two years ago, would they lose 32-7 in the playoff loss?
02:17And then last year they got routed without A.J. Brown in that lineup.
02:21So, they get this team and they beat them up in the first half.
02:24And they just let their guard down.
02:26And maybe the Heat didn't pick that a little bit.
02:28But I think it was twofold.
02:30I think, one, credit Tampa.
02:32We don't give Tampa enough credit offensively and defensively.
02:36I think Baker's a quarterback that's never out of it as long as he's healthy and chucking.
02:41And he made some dynamic plays, not just with the arm, but with his legs,
02:46to put his team potentially in a position.
02:48But I think when they feel threatened, that's when the Eagles turn it on.
02:53And that's the heart of a champion and something that – let's put the shoe on the other foot.
02:58If it was Kansas City, you know, after their first Super Bowl,
03:01and where Kansas City had, what, 10 wins?
03:04Were they won by a touchdown or less?
03:06You know, that year we would say they're still great.
03:08This is still the best team in the NFL.
03:10So, listen, I think, right, as of now, there isn't a team in the league
03:16that should be booked as favorites over the Eagles on a neutral field.
03:19Okay.
03:19Right?
03:20You know, they're one of two 4-0 teams.
03:22The other is Buffalo.
03:25I mean, again, look at the Bills' resume, right?
03:28Like, all of a sudden, that Baltimore win doesn't look as shiny.
03:31And then it's the Jets, the Dolphins, and the Saints, okay?
03:33So, you know, but you mentioned Kansas City.
03:37I was very hard on last year's Kansas City team because it didn't look right.
03:41And eventually it came to roost.
03:43Now, not onto the Super Bowl, but it eventually did.
03:46My thing, Joe, is – I don't – there's a part of me again,
03:51and I was like, who wants to blame it on the heat?
03:53I was sitting in it.
03:53But that doesn't explain the first half of the game of the game against the Rams, right?
04:00If you are the Eagles and you do have the list of talent that you have.
04:05Right.
04:06Right?
04:06And you have Hurts, who I think through, you know, four weeks as a top five MVP candidate,
04:10Saquon Barkley, reigning Offensive Player of the Year, A.J. Brown, Evonta Smith, Dallas Goddard.
04:14Nobody thinks these guys aren't great.
04:16But they're undefeated.
04:17I under – no, I understand that.
04:19I do understand that, Joe, but do they look –
04:22All right, but let me –
04:22Joe, we look for – we look for dominance now in this thing, right?
04:24All right, okay.
04:25Like, last year's team –
04:27Was dominant.
04:27When the defense started cranking it up, like, you look for dominance.
04:32Through four weeks, they've won these games all by one score.
04:35And they look exactly the way they did after four weeks last year.
04:38The only difference is they were 2-2, and now they're 4-0, so keep your head up.
04:41So, let me pose a different question.
04:43Who's the best team?
04:44Who's the most complete team in the NFL?
04:46Chargers got exposed yesterday.
04:48Detroit got exposed.
04:50Who?
04:51Buffalo?
04:51Buffalo's got defensive question marks.
04:54You know, it's –
04:54So – yeah.
04:55But that's my point.
04:56I agree with you.
04:57So, if we're saying, oh, well, the Eagles, you know, they don't look complete.
05:01Who does look complete?
