04:19uses that output as the input for the next hash over and over creating a chain of hashes a verifiable
04:25ordered sequence of hashes because each hash depends on the previous one you get a built-in historical
04:31record a proof that real time is passed between each hash like time stamps baked directly into the
04:37data structure precisely so when a transaction comes into the solana network it gets tagged with one of
04:43these hash outputs it's essentially time stamped cryptographically before it even goes to consensus
04:48ah so validators don't need that pre-consensus chatter about when did this happen not nearly as much
04:54yeah they can look at the transaction see the poh timestamp verify its cryptographic proof is correct
