00:59One team must eliminate all the opposition to win this elimination match.
01:08Since its inception in 1987, the Survivor Series has been one of the premier events on the WWE calendar.
01:15A featured attraction at this event has always been the traditional elimination match, where two teams collide until one side has been defeated.
01:23At Survivor Series, we are gonna kick your ass.
01:28In 2006, one of the most dominant teams of all time was led by Triple H and Shawn Michaels, the always controversial D-Generation X.

01:50The feuding teams each captained their side of five to go at it in one of the most memorable traditional elimination matches of all time.

03:10In 2002, Trish Stratus was not only ruling the women's division, she was quickly becoming one of the most popular superstars in WWE history.
03:21Enter Victoria.
03:23With jealousy consuming her, Victoria got under the skin of the women's champion and things got very physical, very quickly.

03:32This came to a head inside the famed halls of Madison Square Garden, where, in a rare occurrence for the women, things would be settled in a hardcore match.

03:49It was the first time I had ever seen women fight like that.

05:25When I first came to WWE, I needed somebody to pull me by the reins and that guy was Paul Heyman.

06:49but as the name suggests, become a survivor.
06:52In 2003, that's exactly what the goal of Shane McMahon was when he was engrossed in a rivalry
06:57with the big red monster Kane.

07:13This feud became so violent that at Survivor Series, the two would battle it out in one of the most unorthodox matches ever,
07:21where the loser would be the one that was locked inside of an ambulance.

07:34Yeah, when you see an ambulance match, you know you're gonna get hurt.

07:39You got this big monster, and you got this crazy daredevil.

08:33In 2003, Monday Night Raw had its own share of sitcom drama with co-general managers Eric Bischoff and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

08:49With the annual Survivor Series approaching, a unique stipulation was added to the traditional elimination match.
08:55Both GMs picked their teams of five.
08:57If your team loses, you're out of here.

09:08Kind of not wrestling at the time.
09:10It always rang a little hollow with me doing anything in the ring other than wrestling.
09:15But just the fact that people bought into the angle and we were entertaining them, that was really cool.
09:20It is a must-win for Stone Cold.
09:23And Booker T just got thrilled.
09:27And there's a 3-D!
09:29And Dan with a five-star!
09:32Mark Henry eliminated.
09:33I get ganged up on.
09:34Where is that fair?
09:36Advantage back to Team Bischoff, and it doesn't look good for the Rattlesnake right now.
09:40So it comes down to Shawn Michaels versus three members of Team Bischoff.
09:43The odds are stacked way against Shawn Michaels.

10:25Couldn't believe that I'd gotten fired, but it was what it was.
10:29We have just seen the end of the most popular superstar in WWE history.
10:36The WWE Women's Championship is the top prize in the women's division.
10:43Many of the all-time great female competitors have held on to that title and brought women's
10:48wrestling to new heights.
10:49At Survivor Series 2001, the Women's Championship was vacant.
10:53The six-pack challenge featuring the top women's wrestlers of the era was set.
10:57Which of these women would survive and call herself champion?
11:01The first person to score pinfall or submission wins this match.
11:06In 2001, they put together a match called Six-Pack Challenge.
11:11It was Jazz, Jacqueline, Ivory, Molly Holly, Lita, and myself.
11:18It's every girl for herself!
11:21I was the underdog coming in.
11:23I wasn't the most experienced.
11:24All five were way better in the ring.
11:26But I was ready for Chan.
11:27Oh, man!
11:28We got to fight for this title and make it mean something.
11:33I had this desire to just want to prove myself in the ring and say that, yeah, I belong here.
11:40And Trish!
11:41Oh!
11:42The Stratus backs it!
11:43Oh, don't tell me!
11:44And Trish has done it!
11:45Trish Stratus has won this match!
11:46Holding the title for the first time was really special.
11:47Trish Stratus is the new Women's Champion!
11:48Trish winning that championship just helped start this whole new era of women's wrestling.
12:052001 had the highest stakes possible when rival companies ECW and WCW both closed their doors.
12:15The stars of both defunct companies aligned in an attempt to take over WWE.
12:20Nothing can stop the WCW and ECW!
12:25A winner-take-all match was set between the two sides where the losing team would be forced to close its doors forever.
12:35Winner-take-all.
12:38One company will be out of business at the conclusion of this next main event.
12:44That match at Survivor Series 2001 was huge.
12:47You know, it had some of the top superstars in the industry.
12:50Fighting for the professional lives!
12:53This could boil down to five-on-one!
12:56Oh, my God!
12:57All right!
12:58We just lost another one!
12:59The Alliance has a clear advantage!
13:01The stakes couldn't be higher.
13:03They really couldn't be bigger.
13:04And I grew up a huge WCW guy, so it was hard not to root for the Alliance.
13:08But it was a fight for survival.
13:10It has come down to Rock in Austin!
13:13And Stone Cold will lead the Alliance to victory!
13:18Any time you step in a ring with the Rock, he's gonna give you everything he's got.
13:22Not this way!
13:23Oh, yes!
13:24The Rock kicked out!

13:35The 30-30-30 has won it!
13:38What made that match so special is that, business-wise, I knew that we did something that was very, very cool.
13:44The Alliance dies!
13:48Perhaps no superstar saw more success in 2005 than the Viper Randy Orton.
13:54He had done the unthinkable and taken out The Undertaker seemingly for good.
13:59The Undertaker is in the casket!
14:02And at the Survivor Series, Orton celebrated a career milestone.
14:05Becoming the first superstar to be the sole survivor on his team for an unprecedented third year in a row.
14:13The Legend Killer was certainly riding high.
14:17Until the dead man rose again.
14:19The SmackDown camaraderie!
14:24Get in there!
14:25I'm here to congratulate Randy Orton as SmackDown dominates Raw again!
14:30I was the sole survivor.
14:32I was being hoisted up on everybody's shoulders and, you know, alright, we did it.
14:37And then I heard it.
14:39Randy Orton looks as if he's seen a ghost!
14:49When they place that casket out there, that place, and you can feel it shaking.
14:54Holy God!
14:56There's a layer of ominous foreplay to what you're about to see.

15:09I'm standing there.
15:10People are going nuts.
15:11Boom.
15:12Then I start that march.
15:13The Undertaker is back for vengeance!

15:26Yeah, it was just magical, man.
15:29Randy Orton is next on the Hit List!
15:35In 2001, WWE famously purchased rival promotion WCW.
15:41With it came the WCW Tag Team Championship.
15:44It didn't take long for the Dudley Boys to capture those titles and rekindle an old rivalry.
15:50I'm talking about the WWE Tag Team Champions, the Hardy Boys.
15:54And now it's Survivor Series.
15:56They were about to do it one more time, but with huge implications.
16:01It will be the Dudleys taking on the Hardys in a title unification match.
16:07And what better way for these risk-takers to get extreme than inside the confines of a 15-foot-high steel cage?
16:16This match can be won by pinball or by both members of one team escaping over the top of the cage all the way to the floor.
16:29You would think it's difficult to put a tag team match together in a steel cage.
16:36But for us and the Hardys, it wasn't.
16:38In a bad place with a hellacious landing.
16:42I really feel like this was the last big meeting.
16:46It was a bit of a grand finale to the Hardys and Dudleys rivalry.
16:49No doubt about it.
16:50The human anatomy is going to hurt, and it's going to hurt for a long time.
16:53We all had such good chemistry.
16:55We wanted to raise the bar like we always did back then.
16:58Matt Hardy is out of cage! We need one more!
17:02How's this going to end, man? Is Jeff Hardy going to do something crazy off the top?
17:05I felt like that's what everybody kind of wanted to see.

17:11And both feet touch. The Hardys have done it.
17:13Matt is encouraging his brother to come on down.

17:20I've always kind of gravitated towards that, not knowing what's going to happen,
17:25but taking the risk to see if it may happen.

17:31I took the risk versus the reward, and it didn't pay off.
17:35That match on the outside, trying to climb back in!

17:40The Dudleys have made history!
17:43Winning this match meant a lot to myself and my brother, Devon.
17:48Only team to hold the ECW, WWE, and WCW World Tag Team Championship.
17:54This establishes the Dudley Boys as the greatest tag team in history!
18:03It is now time for our number one moment.
18:05In 2002, champion Triple H had a huge target on his back.
18:09With five of WWE's biggest superstars all gunning for the title,
18:13Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff made an announcement
18:16that would change the landscape of professional wrestling.
18:19At Survivor Series, you will bear witness to the Elimination Chamber.
18:28For the first time ever, we would see one of the most satanic structures ever created,
18:33the Elimination Chamber.
18:35Two men will start.
18:36One of the internal chambers will be opened every three minutes.
18:45The last man remaining is the world's heavyweight champion.
18:49Yeah, you'd hear, oh, no, we're building it, the whole thing,
18:51and the next time I saw it was Madison Square Garden,
18:53where I walked out and was like, holy .
18:57These men, their fate being sealed, locked inside this unique structure.
19:02We were like the crash test dummies actually going out there.
19:07This is a steel grid that we're getting body-slammed on.
19:12Oh!
19:13Hands up again, Taylor!

19:18It's Kane!
19:19With the Elimination Chamber, it was completely different
19:23than really, I think, anything the company had done before that,
19:26and a lot more complex as far as the actual match.
19:29Michael's catapulted.
19:32His body has been broken perhaps in half here.
19:35This is brutal.
19:37I mean, the thing is freaking solid steel.

19:51you know, it's a nice story that everybody likes.
