00:00Cruising has evolved so much
00:29in the past couple of years
00:30because people want the luxury,
00:32but they also want the idea
00:34of what the possibilities,
00:37if you will,
00:38you know, the ones
00:39that they can't even fathom.
00:40Could you sort of talk about that
00:42looking at something like the Prestige
00:43and the all-inclusive Ultra Suite
00:47because there's so much possibility with it?
00:50Yeah, you know, when we launched
00:51and we really created
00:53Seven Seas Prestige,
00:54we really wanted to make sure
00:55we're taking Ultra Luxury
00:57to the next level
00:57and the Skyview region suite
00:59really sets the tone.
01:00You know, at 9,000 square feet,
01:02she's approximately four times the size
01:04as the average U.S. home.
01:06Truly remarkable, two-story.
01:08So we have a private elevator
01:09going from the first floor
01:10up to the second floor.
01:12We have over 3,700 square feet
01:13of balcony space.
01:14So you have these amazing vistas
01:16across the world where we visit.
01:18Truly a one-of-a-kind,
01:20unique experience,
01:21starting at 25,000 a night.
01:22But again,
01:23it's one of that one unique experiences
01:25and it really is sought after.
01:27Well, because people,
01:28they, you know,
01:28they'll look at it as a bucket list
01:30or the people that are used to it.
01:32I mean, could you talk about
01:33some of the amenities within it?
01:34You know, some of the ideas.
01:36Yeah, absolutely.
01:37So it starts off
01:37with a private butler
01:38who's dedicated
01:39just to this one suite
01:40to catering to
01:41the guest needs day and night.
01:43We also have a private car
01:45and driver
01:45in every port of call.
01:46So we really, truly
01:47immerse our guests
01:48in each destination we go to,
01:50how they want to experience
01:52each destination.
01:53You know, because we have
01:54a private fitness and gym,
01:56we also include spa treatments
01:57in the suite itself.
01:58So they never have to leave the suite
01:59if they don't want to
02:00when it comes to the spa.
02:02Gourmet dining.
02:03Gourmet dining is included
02:04for everyone,
02:04but we have a private dining room
02:06both in suite
02:07and out of the suite
02:08for the region suite guests.
02:09So they truly can customize
02:10their dining experience
02:11morning, noon,
02:13or even during the dinner time.
02:14So truly this one-of-a-kind,
02:16unique experience for guests.
02:18Now, constructing something like this
02:19within the greater purview
02:21of something like the Prestige,
02:23which is also luxury.
02:24Can you talk about that
02:25and that balance?
02:26Because, you know,
02:27they're one in the same,
02:29but yet one's ultra higher
02:30in that way, if you will.
02:32Yeah, so the Skyview region suite
02:34sets the tone
02:35for the entire ship.
02:36So we have 12 categories of suites.
02:38We're all suite, all balconies.
02:39So the entry-level suite
02:40starts at $6,499 per person
02:43for a 10-day cruise.
02:45So again, price tag seems high,
02:47but we include everything.
02:48So free unlimited shore excursions
02:51for our guests
02:52in every port-a-call we visit,
02:53all the gourmet dining,
02:55as I mentioned,
02:56plus all the beverages,
02:57so all the wine, spirits.
02:59We include free valet laundry
03:00as well, too,
03:01is one of those nice perks
03:02that people don't realize.
03:03And one of the benefits
03:03of cruising is
03:04you get to unpack once.
03:06But when you include laundry service
03:07at the same time, too,
03:08it really does enhance
03:09the overall experience.
03:10And then, of course,
03:11for the guests
03:11that want to stay connected,
03:13we include Wi-Fi
03:13for free as well, too.
03:15Well, can you talk about
03:16some of the initial voyages of this?
03:18Because I know
03:18there's the 10-day cruise
03:20around the Caribbean Sea,
03:21there's Barcelona.
03:22Could you talk about
03:23some of the voyages
03:24people can sort of keep in mind
03:26when coming to something like this?
03:28Yeah, absolutely.
03:29So we launched the ship.
03:30We're building the ship
03:31in Italy right near Venice.
03:32So she's going to take
03:33her maiden cruise
03:34from Barcelona to Miami,
03:36transatlantic.
03:37And then we have cruises
03:38that are departing
03:38from Miami, Los Angeles,
03:40and New York
03:41before we head back
03:41to Europe as well, too.
03:43And the initial sailings
03:44go on sail on June 25th.
03:47So time for everyone
03:49to actually look at the cruises
03:50that they want
03:50to make the right booking.
03:51Could you talk,
03:52with your experience
03:53with Regent,
03:54you know,
03:54and seeing all these things
03:55through the years,
03:57can you talk about,
03:58you know,
03:59these kinds of ships
04:01getting sort of
04:02more luxurious,
04:03bigger,
04:04but also almost more intimate
04:05in certain ways?
04:07Could you talk about
04:08that balance?
04:08Because you've seen,
04:09you know,
04:10this progressed
04:11through many,
04:11many years.
04:12And you know what,
04:13you know what sells,
04:14but you also probably
04:15know what people want.
04:17Yeah, you know,
04:17that's one of the great questions
04:19because it also is,
04:20what is luxury, right?
04:21Luxury is to each
04:22individual person.
04:23And that's what we really
04:24focus on at Regent.
04:25So at the Cornerstone,
04:26you, of course,
04:27you have to have
04:27these great ships
04:28and these ships
04:29are truly spectacular.
04:31But what really makes
04:31the difference
04:32is the crew.
04:33They're so special.
04:34I am so privileged
04:35to work alongside
04:36such amazing men and women.
04:38But they deliver
04:38that unique experience
04:40for each guest
04:40really customized
04:41towards how people
04:43want to sail the world.
04:44And that is one
04:45of the most favorite
04:46parts of mine
04:46is going on board
04:47and seeing the beaming
04:49staff on board.
04:50They're just amazing people.
04:51And my last question
04:52comes to, you know,
04:53obviously building
04:54a ship like this.
04:55Obviously,
04:55you guys are still
04:56in the midst
04:57of building it.
04:58But can you talk about,
04:59you know,
04:59when you're looking,
05:00because you have
05:01obviously seen
05:02the architecture,
05:04you've seen the blueprints,
05:05you've seen so many things.
05:06What impresses you
05:07about what is able
05:08to be done
05:08with these kinds
05:09of cruise ships,
05:10specifically the ones
05:12at Regent?
05:13You know,
05:13it's a remarkable process.
05:15I was actually,
05:15I just visited the shipyard
05:16the other week,
05:17so I just got back.
05:18And we actually create
05:19mock-ups of all
05:21the staterooms
05:21and all the public spaces
05:23just so we can see,
05:25we can touch and feel
05:25how they're going to look.
05:27Luxury really is
05:27in the details.
05:28You want to get
05:28all the details right.
05:29But when you look
05:30at the base aspect
05:31of building a ship,
05:31it's really a fascinating
05:32process of how they
05:34pull the blocks together
05:35and they build them
05:35in these shipyards.
05:37Truly remarkable.
05:39But really,
05:39it comes back down
05:40to all the details
05:41that we focus on
05:42in every aspect
05:43of the public spaces
05:44and the suites.
06:05of the public spaces
06:06and the suites.
