00:30Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem and a reminder always for myself, by the grace of Allah

01:13Surat al-Yusuf is the twelfth surah and Allah describe this is a beautiful surah, this
01:22is a beautiful al-Qassah, means this is a reality of our path.
01:29We give it in a very short summary doesn't have to be too long and too complicated, very easy
01:35path to understand.
01:36Sayyidina Yusuf is telling his father who is a Prophet and has 11 brothers who are
01:46prophets, that I've had a dream that the sun and the moon and 11 planets have made sujood,
01:54have bowed down to me.
02:05And the father asked that, don't tell your brothers we're going to cause you harm.
02:13Eventually their jealousy overtook them and the feeling of favour and the beatific tajjali
02:20dressing Sayyidina Yusuf , the brothers couldn't handle it so life is filled
02:27with hasad.
02:29Even if you're a Prophet there's going to be hasad.
02:32These are 11 Prophets of Allah are jealous and throw their brother into a hole.
02:44In today's day how to bring the surah of what Allah wants for us, Prophet ﷺ wants for
02:50us and the ulul amr, what they are responsible for us is this path.
02:56When Allah wants to guide the servant doesn't matter who the father, who the brother and
03:03who the mother is, Allah's guidance is always going to be unique and it's going to be uniquely
03:12guided and everyone's destination is different.
03:21Everyone's level of knowledge is different and from that understanding you have to be
03:27put into a hole and that hole is isolation and that's the whole understanding of tafakkur
03:33and meditation and contemplation.
03:39That I can make a space within my life like that hole that I'm cut off from everything
03:45and that I have to learn to, who knows himself will know his Lord.
03:49Hadith of Prophet ﷺ comes at that point and teaches, who knows himself will know his Lord.
04:01You have to know yourself so that you may know what governs you this word of Rabb.
04:08Surat al Yusuf is filled with the secret of alif laam ra and rububiyah lordship.
04:19Which is not Allah , Allah is the creator, lordship is that which governs you.
04:28Before they used to say Rabb al-bayt , the lord of the house, Rabb al-shahr , the lord
04:33of the city.

10:13And Allah describes, this caravan came to the well, they sat down and they noticed that

10:28They said, perchance we take him out is a barakah, a blessing.

10:38Took him and began to leave.
10:42Right at that point that is our tariq because when Allah's giving a beautiful story there's
10:49no time.
10:50It's not about just one story, it's about our existence right now.
10:56Allah saying, if you're truly going to isolate yourself and truly want to come against all
11:02your bad desires and you're sincere in your prayers that, guide me, guide me, there's
11:08a caravan coming to get you.
11:12You prayed for guidance and if you didn't your ancestors prayed.
11:19Somebody in your ancestry prayed that, guide my descendants to the way of truth and to the
11:25way of realities and the caravan appears.
11:31When the caravan appears means the shaykh would take that one out of the well.
11:36At that point it's the responsibility of the shaykh to guide that student.
11:46It's an instant of a second of a story but it's an expanded reality.
11:53That for you to accompany the shaykh you have to have the character of miskeen.
11:59Somebody who's been in a hole and thrown into a hole, he doesn't have a lot of opinions
12:05and he doesn't keep putting his opinion or her opinion in everything.
12:13They don't know anything because they have to pretend to themselves, it's like I was
12:17in a hole, I've been isolated and my Lord threw me in there and I don't know how to
12:23take care of myself, I don't know how to reach that reality, I want to be nothing.
12:31He has to be miskeen because he was a big prophet probably wealthy family, Allah cut him off
12:38and threw him in a hole.
12:44So all the wealth in the world not going to help you now, a father and eleven brothers
12:52who are prophets doesn't matter how great your family is, how all interrelated you are,
12:58how everything is Allah said, when I want to guide you, you're in the hole.
13:04So they become yateen because this is the biggest complaint, oh I have so many family and they
13:13don't agree, they don't understand, they don't know what I'm doing, they don't even
13:17like to look at me and talk to me anymore.
13:19So then congratulations because what they know of you is not maybe the image and the
13:27reality that Allah wombs from you because if Allah dress you maybe they'll never
13:35like to see your face again because we have a certain image amongst people, a certain reality
13:44that they were comfortable with, as long as you did what they did they were good with
13:49you.
13:50As soon as you go to guidance say, what's wrong with you, what's all these things you want
13:55to do to yourself, why you don't come and play with us anymore.
14:00So of course they're not going to have anything familiar, you become yateen, you have nobody,
14:05you're cut off from everything.
14:07You become miskeen, I don't have what I had, I had all my plans and life, I was going to
14:12do all these things, all been cut off, I was going to be famous, I was going to be a big
14:21businessman, cut off whatever the person was dreaming.
14:26Maybe Allah didn't have that dream for you, it'll come back later what Allah wants for
14:32us.
14:33But we're still just at the hole and then aseerah because the condition the caravan took him
14:49as a captive, didn't ask would you like to come out of the well or would you like to
14:53come with us, we're going to go through the desert, no, no took him as a captive, tied
15:01up a Prophet of Allah .
15:06So anyone who doesn't like the path and want too much of their opinion, too much talking,
15:12too many words, too much expression of who they are and what their character, that the
15:18path is teaching us, look me, Allah putting in baran.
15:23The path is teaching be nothing, be nothing and a lifelong process of trying that.
15:33Trying not to put their will where their will was not Allah's will.
15:38When we become nothing, want nothing and make ourselves to be in that condition, Allah can
15:45begin to dress the divine will and that caravan takes that servant all the way to the kingdom
15:59of Allah .
16:07Because at that bazaar a king appeared, a king appeared and saw the lights.
16:20Means that Allah knows everything's been written, everything destined, these caravans should
16:25all be going to the same king.
16:29The caravan doesn't take anyone to themself and then go out into the village by themself.
16:35All these shiukh are supposed to take their students to the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad

16:43The caravan doesn't take anyone to the other, but the caravan doesn't take anyone to the

20:02Don't sit on all your eggs and do nothing, you've been chosen.
20:06The call has come, Samina wa ta'ala .
20:10We heard the call and we are coming.
20:15What was the labaykh?
20:20You thought you only heard to go to the Ka'bah?
20:24Go spin seven times and go home now and do whatever you want.

21:02So, whole life is about the state.
21:08We can only eat from that reality if we're continuously yateen.
21:13I'm nothing Ya Rabbi, I'm nothing, I'm miskeen.
21:17No matter what Allah gives, don't let the wealth of your possessions, the wealth of your status
21:24make you to become arrogant.
21:29Not that they were a servant to their wealth that they hoarded in their bank accounts.
21:34We're talking about people with millions in their bank accounts.
21:38They're posting pictures all day long, they have 10 cars, 20 cars, they have garages filled with cars,
21:44all of which will be ropes upon the neck of the servant if they're not doing anything in the way of Allah .
21:56So, means they teach, do for Allah , be of service so that they're not a servant to that
22:05but that wealth, those possessions, everything is a servant to them.
22:11This is their whole way unto the king buys them.
22:15Means when they begin to be taught the realities and the love of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, they're
22:21entering now into the heavenly kingdom.
22:28Inside the heavenly kingdom are all the realities in which Allah wants for that servant.
22:36That you learn those characteristics to have because you're going to need them inside the kingdom.
22:41As soon as Sayyidina Yusuf enters into the kingdom to be of service, he's having a big problem
22:48with the wife of the king.
22:53Everyone in the kingdom is immensely attracted to him.
23:00Sayyidina Yusuf is the beautific dress of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
23:08If within the kingdom these mureeds, these shaykhs, their juzbah and their lights are so beautific
23:17and so filled with barakah, the woman represents dunya and that the dunya within this kingdom
23:30of Allah is going to run after the servant.
23:35Where before you were running for your dunya, as soon as you enter into the kingdom of Sayyidina
23:43Muhammad ﷺ dunya keeps chasing after.
23:47And at that time Sayyidina Yusuf the lady grabbed Sayyidina Yusuf and then the king appeared.
23:55Means that this blessing they're dressing upon you, if this dunya grabs you it's going
24:02to be a difficulty for you.
24:03Sayyidina Yusuf said, no look she grabbed me from behind I was running from her.
24:10Not that I was running to her, she was running after me, means this dunya was running after.
24:16They run after her, why?
24:17Because they want to be of service to Prophet ﷺ.
24:20When they see that Allah loves you and the Prophet ﷺ loves you, of course the dunya
24:25wants to throw everything at your feet.
24:28To be of khidmat also to the Divinely Presence.
24:36At that time Sayyidina Yusuf asked, Ya Rabbi I think it's better that I go to jail now.
24:45The first hole you were thrown into, the second phase is you have to ask, you have to have
24:51your spiritual practices, you have to make your tafakkur, you have to make your contemplation,
24:56we have to do all our practices and then we have to keep asking, Ya Rabbi put me into
25:01seclusion, put me into isolation.
25:10We keep making intention, Ya Rabbi I'm making intention, I'm making intention.
25:15Even if every day slowly, slowly it's like an itika for me or a khalwa for me but I want
25:20to reach.
25:22And seven years he put himself into seclusion and isolation at which time Allah brought him
25:29out.
25:30And when Sayyidina Yusuf came out, he came out with the mulk of all of Masr, but he was
25:37established with a mighty authority.
25:43He achieved the authority of the sun, the moon and eleven planets who put under the feet
25:48of Seyyidina Yusuf asal.
25:49Subhana rabbika rabbal izzati haman yasikun.
25:50Wa salamun al-mufsaleen.
25:51from the yaseekab.
25:53Wa salam unto the nusaleen?
25:55Alhamdulillahi wa raktullahi wa lalamin.
