00:04:29I know you want to. I'll see you inside for lunch.
00:04:32Okay.
00:04:59You can open your eyes now.
00:05:19Do you like her?
00:05:23She's breathtaking!
00:05:27What's going on? Come on.
00:05:37Here, try this. Put your hand like this.
00:05:40What are we doing?
00:05:42What we're doing is called a horseman's handshake.
00:05:46It is a very respectful way to treat an animal,
00:05:50and it's also a very polite way to say good morning.
00:05:54Go ahead, try it.
00:05:55Good morning.
00:05:56See if she'll give you permission to pet her.
00:05:58Hi there.
00:06:02Wow, looks like somebody's got a new best friend.
00:06:05Hi.
00:06:06Hey.
00:06:16Hey.
00:06:17Hey Chris.
00:06:18You don't ever hear your phone ring, do you?
00:06:20No, I've been riding.
00:06:21My sister's only a few years older than us, and she's never off of that thing.
00:06:23And she has to check it every minute.
00:06:24My dad's always yelling at her.
00:06:25Yeah, I'd rather have my hands on her reins than on my phone.
00:06:30So?
00:06:31I just thought I'd come visit you.
00:06:33Just because we're not in school doesn't mean we can't hang out.
00:06:37Did you just come from practice?
00:06:39Yeah.
00:06:40Someone forgot to tell Coach Davis that we're on break.
00:06:42I guess that's what happens when you decide to play football for the school.
00:06:46I still need the improvement though.
00:06:47At least that's how I feel.
00:06:48What?
00:06:49Come on.
00:06:50No way.
00:06:51I've seen you play.
00:06:52I think you're really good.
00:06:53I bet you'll be the star running back in no time.
00:06:54Hey.
00:06:55Hi.
00:06:56You need help?
00:06:57Sure.
00:06:58How's Chris?
00:06:59He's fine.
00:07:00He's fine.
00:07:01He's coming around again tomorrow.
00:07:02He's fine.
00:07:03He's fine.
00:07:04He's fine.
00:07:05He's fine.
00:07:06I guess that's what happens when you decide to play football for the school.
00:07:08I still need the improvement though.
00:07:09At least that's how I feel.
00:07:10What?
00:07:11Come on.
00:07:12No way.
00:07:13I've seen you play.
00:07:14I think you're really good.
00:07:15I bet you'll be the star running back in no time.
00:07:18Hey.
00:07:19Hi.
00:07:20You need help?
00:07:21Sure.
00:07:22He's coming around again tomorrow.
00:07:23Really?
00:07:24What?
00:07:25He's cute.
00:07:26Mom!
00:07:27Wow.
00:07:28I'm right, aren't I?
00:07:29Stop.
00:07:30Do you like him?
00:07:31We are not talking about this.
00:07:32Why not?
00:07:33Seriously?
00:07:34Sometimes it's more like we're roommates.
00:07:35Well, isn't that a good thing?
00:07:36Actually, um, there is something I wanted to talk to you about.
00:07:39Pastor Williams is going to come up with me.
00:07:40I don't know.
00:07:41I don't know.
00:07:42I don't know.
00:07:43I don't know.
00:07:44I don't know.
00:07:45I don't know.
00:07:46I don't know.
00:07:47I don't know.
00:07:48I don't know.
00:07:49I don't know.
00:07:50I don't know.
00:07:51Pastor Williams is going to come over for lunch today.
00:07:55He's only going to talk about church again.
00:07:58You haven't been since your father passed.
00:08:00I don't want to go anymore.
00:08:04Why not?
00:08:06Mom, please don't pressure me.
00:08:09All right.
00:08:10But you can't avoid it forever.
00:08:16It looks beautiful, honey.
00:08:22Yes.
00:08:23I love all the colors and how they shine and light.
00:08:25All right.
00:08:26So what do you think, honey?
00:08:29I think it's perfect.
00:08:30It's just perfect.
00:08:31That looks great, Mike.
00:08:32You think God would approve?
00:08:33Oh, well, Mike.
00:08:34God doesn't micromanage.
00:08:35He leaves that up to me.
00:08:36No, it looks great.
00:08:37Look, I just want to thank you for everything you've done.
00:08:38Oh, no.
00:08:39Not really.
00:08:40I mean, you don't want to convince me to move out here.
00:08:41You found this historical building and you restored it with your own two hands.
00:08:42Oh, no.
00:08:43It looks beautiful, honey.
00:08:44It looks beautiful, honey.
00:08:45Yes.
00:08:46I love all the colors and how they shine and light.
00:08:47Right?
00:08:48So what do you think, honey?
00:08:49Well, now we've seen a congregation.
00:08:50You know what they say.
00:08:51If you build it, they will come.
00:08:52Well, Mike, I'm gonna say, oh, no, no.
00:08:54No, no.
00:08:55It looks great.
00:08:56Look, I just want to thank you for everything you've done, Mike.
00:08:57Oh, no.
00:08:58Not really.
00:08:59I mean, you don't want to convince me to move out here.
00:09:00You found this historical building and you restored it with your own two hands, man.
00:09:03That's big time.
00:09:04We've been friends for a long time, Mike, but you went above and beyond, man.
00:09:08You would have done exactly the same thing for me, no, I would have.
00:09:11Yeah, come here, you.
00:09:12Well, now we've seen a congregation.
00:09:16You know what they say.
00:09:17If you build it, they will come.
00:09:19Let's hope. Let's hope.
00:09:21And if you paint it, they will most assuredly come.
00:09:23Absolutely.
00:09:25Now, you see?
00:09:27No, no way. See up there where it comes together?
00:09:30No, no, no. That's your car. I'm afraid of heights.
00:09:32I can't get up there. I can't.
00:09:34Yeah, sure.
00:09:47Why are you avoiding Pastor Williams?
00:09:52Because every time I see him, I can only picture Dad's funeral.
00:10:00Oh, Grace.
00:10:03I just don't believe anymore, Mom.
00:10:06Don't say that.
00:10:08What's the point in prayer if I don't believe in the words?
00:10:17You know, your dad is still with us.
00:10:32He's always going to be here.
00:10:39I still feel like I'm waiting for him to walk through my door.
00:10:44Like any second, it's going to happen.
00:10:50But it just never does.
00:11:01I know.
00:11:09And that's why we have to stay strong for each other.
00:11:14So that we can get through this together.
00:11:29Rebecca, how you doing?
00:11:31How's Grace?
00:11:35She's okay.
00:11:37Yeah?
00:11:38Considering everything.
00:11:39You know, I think about you guys a lot.
00:11:41I haven't seen her since the funeral.
00:11:45I feel like after everything your family has done for me,
00:11:49I owe you guys.
00:11:53I mean, the fact is, without his hard work,
00:11:57this town wouldn't even have a church.
00:11:59I went down to his house.
00:12:03But the truth is...
00:12:05We're about to lose it.
00:12:08What?
00:12:10Well, you know how I sold all the cattle off?
00:12:13Yeah.
00:12:15Mike had become a really good rancher.
00:12:17I tried my hardest to do all of that stuff,
00:12:20and I just couldn't keep up with that
00:12:23and with taking care of my daughter all on my own.
00:12:25You should have to.
00:12:27That's too much for any one person.
00:12:28And Grace doesn't even know.
00:12:58Yeah.
00:12:59We're about to do all the things.
00:13:01Yeah.
00:13:03Yeah.
00:13:05Yeah.
00:13:07Yeah.
00:13:09Yeah.
00:13:11Yeah.
00:13:13Yeah.
00:13:17Yeah.
00:13:19Yeah.
00:13:22Yeah.
00:13:24Yeah.

00:14:22made you ditch a rifle for a bible no i was long gone when i started to really work on my faith
00:14:29i left the army then i came back just not as a soldier this time but as a pastor
00:14:39and he served his country proud in both ways thanks sweetie you always had a knack my men revered you
00:14:47they would open up to you tell you their dreams their hopes they confess everything to you not
00:14:51to me just you naturally no they was just scared of the lord man it was like confession a lot of times
00:15:02that being said
00:15:05anything you want to confess mike now's as good a time as any well now that you mention it um
00:15:13i've been called and asked to go back and do another tour of duty really really you okay with that
00:15:30well i can't tell him not to go but
00:15:31you're afraid it's okay and if i were in your position i'd be afraid too
00:15:43you know that i don't want to leave you and grace for
00:15:4610 minutes let alone months at a time but i i just don't
00:15:50i don't see any way i could say no
00:15:52i don't i don't like my men they need me my my country needs me
00:16:11you're right you're right you're right it wasn't funny it was hysterical

00:17:57hey don't say that okay you're gonna get through these tough times
00:18:13you
00:18:31hello
00:18:32Mrs. Evans, this has been Clark from the bank again.
00:18:36We urgently need to talk.
00:18:38As you are aware from your foreclosure notice, you...
00:19:02To be continued...
00:19:32Rebecca, how are you doing?
00:19:34Hi.
00:19:35Am I bothering you?
00:19:37Oh, no, it's no bother at all.
00:19:39I'm just off running errands,
00:19:41and I'm just up here working on my sermon.
00:19:43You should be using a sneak peek right now.
00:19:45Oh, no, you know, I can't do that.
00:19:47That would just ruin the surprise.
00:19:53You know what, come on up here, let's...
00:19:55Let's have a chat.
00:20:02Tell me what's wrong.
00:20:13Banks about to foreclose on us.
00:20:18Okay, but you can't give up.
00:20:20I don't know if I have the strength.
00:20:22You're being tested right now.
00:20:25But it's gonna make you stronger.
00:20:28You're gonna get through.
00:20:31Trust me when I tell you this.
00:20:33You're gonna come out stronger.
00:20:36You're gonna get through it.
00:20:40But you gotta believe that.
00:20:48Have you prayed about him?
00:20:52Yes, yes, I've prayed, but I just, I feel like,
00:20:54I feel like God's not even...
00:20:56Rebecca, he's listening to you.
00:20:58I know you don't think he is.
00:21:01But he's listening to you.
00:21:04The thing is, are you listening to him?
00:21:07Because he hopes you are.
00:21:09So you'll be able to respond when he answers.
00:21:13Remember the two virtues that I preach on a lot.
00:21:17Hope and faith.
00:21:18Hope and faith.
00:21:19See, when people get in tough times, like you are right now,
00:21:23when it seems impossible, and you wanna quit,
00:21:25when it's not easy, when it's rough,
00:21:27that's when you need it the most.
00:21:30Not the time to quit.
00:21:32It's time to fight.
00:21:35Through hope and faith, you can do that.
00:21:37And you're gonna do it.
00:21:39You need to fight for your whole.
00:21:43I believe you wanna fight for your whole.
00:21:46And not just for yourself,
00:21:48but for Grace.
00:21:53Y'all both gotta fight.
00:21:55Cause I'm gonna tell you right now,
00:21:57Rebecca,
00:21:59Rebecca,
00:22:02if you're not willing to fight,
00:22:07no one else will.
00:22:28You can see why your parents wanted to move here.
00:22:40I know.
00:22:42I love it here.
00:22:44What about your place?
00:22:47Um, I, I grew up on my farm.
00:22:50That's all I've ever known, really.
00:22:53Do you wanna be a farmer?
00:22:55Yeah.
00:22:56Yeah, I guess I do.
00:22:59Once my dad retires, it'll all be mine.
00:23:02What about football?
00:23:05I don't know.
00:23:06Everyone's always telling me how good I am at it.
00:23:08But, I mean, I guess the farm has to come first.
00:23:13Maybe you can do both.
00:23:16Yeah, I'd like that.
00:23:19My mom wants me to run this place one day.
00:23:22And I don't mind the hard work,
00:23:23but I don't know if I can do it alone.
00:23:27The only thing I'm afraid of is letting my dad down.
00:23:31I think you'll do just fine.
00:23:35Will you help me?
00:23:37Do you want me to?
00:23:39What do you think?
00:23:40It's a good thing.
00:23:50Hi.
00:23:52How are your parents?
00:23:54They're good.
00:23:55Grace keeping you busy?
00:23:56Putting you to work?
00:23:57Yeah, she is, but I'm having fun.
00:23:59That's good.
00:24:00Are you hungry?
00:24:01A little.
00:24:03Okay, well I just made an apple pie,
00:24:04if you wanna go in and grab a slice.
00:24:05Awesome.
00:24:06All right.
00:24:07We'll see you inside, okay?
00:24:09You're welcome.
00:24:12Hey, sweetie.
00:24:13Hi.
00:24:16Can I, uh, talk to you for a second?
00:24:19Yeah.
00:24:20Is it about that sign I saw?
00:24:22Yeah.
00:24:25Um, so we're gonna have an estate sale on Saturday.
00:24:29Okay.
00:24:30So anything that you don't need, I'd like for you to go ahead and box it up today, and I'll be doing the same thing.
00:24:37I don't get it, though. Why is it so urgent?
00:24:49We're broke, Grace.
00:24:52What?
00:24:53The ranch is in a lot of debt, and, um, if we don't come up with some money soon, it's...
00:25:01Are you serious?
00:25:04Well, we haven't had any income coming in.
00:25:10And we've still had to make all the mortgage payments, pay all the expenses, cover the cost of the cattle, and...
00:25:16But we already sold off all the cattle.
00:25:18Yeah, but I had to sell them under market value.
00:25:22It stopped the bleeding for a bit, but...
00:25:30You like it here, don't you?
00:25:35Do you remember what it was like before we came here?
00:25:37Yeah.
00:25:40Yeah.
00:25:41A two-bedroom apartment in the city.
00:25:43Your dad and I working all the time.
00:25:48Didn't leave much time for...
00:25:50For us as a family.
00:25:52I remember, Mom.
00:25:55Things got a lot better for us when we got here.
00:25:58I know.
00:26:00I love it here, Grace.
00:26:03I do, too.
00:26:05That's why I need your help.
00:26:10So that we don't lose it, okay?
00:26:13Okay.
00:26:17Hey.
00:26:18Hey.
00:26:19You don't need to go home any time soon, do you?
00:26:21No way.
00:26:22I need your help.
00:26:24Okay, I'm all yours.
00:26:25Great, follow me.
00:26:26Okay.
00:26:29Coming.
00:26:34I need you tonight.
00:26:36I'm just gonna hug you.
00:26:37Yeah.
00:26:38Hey.
00:26:39Okay.
00:26:41We'll see you next time.
00:26:43Bye.
00:26:45Bye.
00:26:50Bye.
00:26:55Bye.
00:26:56Bye.
00:26:59Bye.
00:27:01Bye.
00:27:02Bye.
00:27:03Bye.
00:27:04you sure have a lot of books yeah I love to read what about you ah if it's a good
00:27:13enough book someone's gonna make a movie about it so why bother her read it cuz
00:27:17it's fun too so you really have to get rid of everything yeah I guess most of
00:27:29this stuff is from when I was a kid anyway what about you I'm sure your room
00:27:32is full of stuff you don't need anymore um not really actually I mean I grew up
00:27:38on a farm so my parents ideas of gifts were stuff that the farm also needed like
00:27:43what tools mostly although one year I did get a tractor that's pretty cool yeah I
00:27:51thought it was the coolest gift ever too until my dad said I couldn't write it
00:27:54until I was 15 well at least it's something you can use now and for years
00:27:59to come like you said you're gonna stay on the farm right yeah yeah I'm

00:30:26station I had to wait for my ride to turn up and so I just sat there watching this guy
00:30:33just telling bad jokes and
00:30:37doing his best to raise money for a good cause
00:30:43he was a little older than me he had you know scruff on his face and
00:30:55sweatshirt ripped jeans
00:30:58he was adorable
00:31:02but just in need of a woman's touch you know
00:31:07he smiled at me
00:31:11and I smiled back
00:31:15and then we started talking and it was just like
00:31:19like we had known each other forever even though we had literally just met
00:31:25and that was the moment we knew
00:31:31your dad gave this to me
00:31:49on our first anniversary
00:31:52together forever
00:31:54this is what's important to keep okay
00:32:02that way
00:32:07all you have to do
00:32:10is look down to remember how much we both loved each other
00:32:15and how much we love you
00:32:18you know your dad would have wanted us to do whatever it takes to keep this ranch
00:32:30no
00:32:31that's why we have to sell things now
00:32:34before we're forced to sell things that
00:32:36that we don't want to sell
00:32:38what do you mean
00:32:41it's the last thing
00:32:44that I would want to do
00:32:46no
00:32:48no you don't mean faith

00:34:02I know you will
00:34:03hey oh
00:34:07you two you two are something else
00:34:13while I'm gone
00:34:16I know it's not always going to be easy, but I know that you can handle it.
00:34:25All I want you to do is do your best.
00:34:27That's all anybody can ask.
00:34:32Dad, I'm going to miss you so much.
00:34:36I already miss you two more than you can possibly imagine.
00:34:39But when you close your eyes, I'll be there.
00:34:58I'm never going to let you go.
00:35:01No one will ever take you from me.
00:35:04I don't know what I'd do without you.
00:35:13So what's it like to ride her?
00:35:16You've never ridden a horse before?
00:35:19When I ride her, I feel free.
00:35:23I just feel so happy and alive.
00:35:34You two look great together.
00:35:45I mean, she's such a pretty horse.
00:35:48And...
00:35:49And...
00:35:51And you're such a pretty girl.
00:35:57I mean, there's a reason I avoided even making eye contact with you the first few years of school.
00:36:02What's that?
00:36:06I don't know.
00:36:06I can't explain it.
00:36:07It's like...
00:36:08I felt sick just looking at you.
00:36:12Gee, thanks.
00:36:13No, I don't mean it like that.
00:36:15It's just...
00:36:16You know, you...
00:36:19You're the prettiest girl in school.
00:36:22I was scared.
00:36:24I was afraid that if I tried to talk to you...
00:36:27You'd just walk away.
00:36:32I mean, if you did that, I wouldn't be able to stay at school anymore.
00:36:36Well, it's a good thing I spoke to you that day.
00:36:38You finally approached me at the water fountain.
00:36:41You remember that?
00:36:47So you've really never ridden a horse?
00:36:49Actually, I have not, no.
00:36:53I mean, everyone says riding is so much fun, but...
00:36:56Well, how about I teach you?
00:36:59Uh...
00:36:59I don't know.
00:37:00It took me long enough to learn how to ride my bike.
00:37:03Come on.
00:37:04Trust me.
00:37:05Let me help you out with something, too.
00:37:09Squeezing is like a gas pedal.
00:37:11It means go fast.
00:37:12So the harder you squeeze,
00:37:15not with your...
00:37:16Here, but with your heels,
00:37:17the faster the horse will go.
00:37:20So a lot of times you'll be thinking,
00:37:22I want to slow down.
00:37:23I want to slow down.
00:37:24But you're telling the horse,
00:37:25Yeah!
00:37:26Okay?
00:37:26So here, watch.
00:37:27We'll just go.
00:37:27I know, right?
00:37:28So there's a lot to know.
00:37:30But it's all very easy, see?
00:37:35Very easy.
00:37:42So what you practice are figure eights, right?
00:37:46Here's a figure eight.
00:37:47Now look how little I have to do.
00:37:49Not scary, right?
00:37:54You look like you're scared.
00:37:56Touch her again.
00:37:58You have to believe in your horse.
00:38:01You have to believe in yourself.
00:38:05And you have to trust me.
00:38:07All right?
00:38:09Okay.
00:38:12See?
00:38:19Just like riding a bike.
00:38:21If the bike had a mind of its own.
00:38:24Come on.
00:38:27Come on.
00:38:30Dad!
00:38:30Come on, come on.
00:38:31Come on.
00:38:32Come on.
00:38:33Come here.
00:38:33Look.
00:38:34It's okay.
00:38:35Listen to me.
00:38:36Listen to me.
00:38:38You trust me, right?
00:38:40Yeah.
00:38:41Okay.
00:38:42You trust me.
00:38:43You trust Faith.
00:38:45You trust yourself.
00:38:46You got this.
00:38:49You got this.
00:38:49Okay.
00:38:50Okay.
00:38:51All right.
00:38:51Here we go.
00:38:52Come on, Faith.
00:38:53Come on, Faith.
00:38:54Let's go.
00:38:57Come on.

00:39:10Yeah, okay.
00:39:10I'm doing it.
00:39:11I'm sorry.
00:39:17I'm worried about you.
00:39:21Did you ask for help?

00:49:02so
00:49:10so
00:49:12so
00:49:14so
00:50:16So how are we doing?
00:50:28I know it looks bad, but look.
00:50:31Don't give up.
00:50:31Hey.
00:50:42Hey.
00:50:43How are you doing?
00:50:45Fine.
00:50:48Today was a disaster.
00:50:50The worst part is my mom's going to want to sell Faith next.
00:50:58It seems like your mom's going to want to sell everything she can before losing Faith.
00:51:02I'm not going to let her.
00:51:05I lost my dad.
00:51:06I can't lose her, too.
00:51:07So what are you going to do?
00:51:13I don't know.
00:51:17But if I lose her, I'll have nothing left.
00:51:20Yeah, but I mean, what's worse?
00:51:23Losing your horse or losing your home?
00:51:25She's not just any horse.
00:51:28No, I know that, but...
00:51:29Faith is everything to me.
00:51:31She's my best friend.
00:51:33Where are you going to go, Grace?
00:51:36Where are you going to live?
00:51:38I can't believe you're saying this.
00:51:40So what?
00:51:40You think I should just get rid of her?
00:51:42No, that's not what I'm saying.
00:51:44Look, this isn't Faith's fault that things got this bad.
00:51:47Why should she be punished?
00:51:48She shouldn't.
00:51:53But if she's the only chance that the ranch has left, then maybe your mom's right.
00:51:58Maybe you don't have a choice but to sell her.
00:52:02Just go home, Chris.
00:52:07What?
00:52:08Go home.
00:52:12I'm just trying to help.
00:52:16Grace, please.
00:52:17Did you hear me?
00:52:19I said I want you to leave.
00:52:41I'm not going to let them take you from me.
00:52:43If I lose the ranch, then fine, but I'm not going to lose you.
00:52:51Really very proud of you, you know that?
00:52:54Why?
00:52:55Oh, you've been feeding her, exercising her, grooming her, taking great care of her.
00:53:00Well, I enjoy it.
00:53:02Makes her so happy.
00:53:03Listen, sweetheart, when I'm gone, I want you to know I'm counting on you, okay?
00:53:14Keep taking care of her.
00:53:17Protect her.
00:53:18Make sure she's safe.
00:53:19Keep her groomed.
00:53:20Keep her fed.
00:53:21Exercised.
00:53:22Whoa, whoa.
00:53:23Hey, hey, hey.

00:54:38I've been trying to reach you urgently, Mrs. Evans.
00:54:41Please. I need more time.
00:54:44We keep giving you more time.
00:54:46We filed extension after extension after you missed one mortgage payment after another.
00:54:52I realize that, but...
00:54:52Then I am sorry, Mrs. Evans. I really am.
00:54:56But as you are aware, your ranch is scheduled for foreclosure on Monday.
00:55:01There's nothing more that we can do.
00:55:03What time do I have until exactly...
00:55:10Monday morning, 9 a.m.
00:55:13I suggest you remove all your personal belongings by then,
00:55:18when the ranch will officially become the bank's property.
00:55:21What about me?
00:55:30What about my daughter?
00:55:31Anyone found on site will be forcefully removed by the sheriff,
00:55:36but I trust it won't come to that.
00:55:38Hi.
00:55:54Sorry.
00:55:56Didn't mean to startle you.
00:55:58My name is Luke Stark.
00:56:01I own a cattle ranch just across the state line.
00:56:05Nice to meet you. How can I help you?
00:56:08Well, I was driving through town, and I saw your sign for an estate sale.
00:56:12Although, from the looks of it, it seems that I got here a little too late.
00:56:16I was checking out some of your ranching equipment.
00:56:19But, unfortunately, you don't have anything I don't already have.
00:56:25I did notice, though, that white horse.
00:56:30Is she for sale?
00:56:56Yeah, well, my daughter is going to work.
00:57:00Oh, yeah, that's a good girl.
00:57:05Stop! Wait, what are you doing?
00:57:08No, get off of me! You can't take my horse!
00:57:12I'm afraid I already bought her.
00:57:14No, sir, please, you can't take her away from me!
00:57:17I'm sorry, I really am, but I already bought her.
00:57:22Mom, Mom, you can't do this!
00:57:24This is the last thing I want to do, but...
00:57:27Is selling her even enough money to pay off the bank?
00:57:29No, it's not, but this, with the other money, it can pay back some of it,
00:57:33and maybe I can call the bank and negotiate.
00:57:36Maybe? Maybe?
00:57:39Listen, your horse will be in good hands with me and my daughter.
00:57:42I promise you, we'll take great care of her.
00:57:45We'll treat her like family.
00:57:47She already has a family!
00:57:52No.
00:57:53Good luck.
00:57:55No.
00:57:56No, Mom, it's not too late!
00:57:58You don't have to do this!
00:57:59You can give them the money back!
00:58:00No, you can't!
00:58:02I had no choice!
00:58:03Feece!
00:58:06Feece!
00:58:11Feece!
00:58:13Feece!
00:58:14No!
00:59:03I feel like I just ripped her heart out.
00:59:18She's been through so much, and instead of making it easier on her, I just
00:59:33made it a whole lot worse.
00:59:40It's better that we lose our home.
00:59:51I'm doing my best here without my husband.
00:59:58You know how hard this has been on me.
01:00:05Now we sold everything that we own.
01:00:13If you can hear me, I need you now more than ever.
01:00:20I could use some miracle.
01:00:27God, I know that it's been a while.
01:00:34It was just hard for me after my dad passed.
01:00:41But you first took my dad from me, and then Faith.
01:00:48And it looks like you're going to take my home from me now, too.
01:00:55What did I do to deserve this?
01:01:02I'm sorry that sometimes I lost hope, and even my faith.
01:01:09I'm not as strong as I want to be, as I should be.
01:01:16I'm asking that you bless us, and watch over us.
01:01:23I trust you.
01:01:24And I believe that you have a plan, and that you know what's best.
01:01:30I know that you're protecting me.
01:01:31I know that you're protecting me.
01:01:32I know that you're protecting me.
01:01:33I'm asking that you bless us, and watch over us.
01:01:37I trust you.
01:01:44And I believe that you have a plan, and that you know what's best.
01:01:51I know that you're protecting me.
01:01:58And watching over me.
01:02:01And I know that my dad is, too.
01:02:21Can I come in?
01:02:23Sure.
01:02:24Are we homeless yet, Mom?
01:02:28That's not funny.
01:02:32I just wanted to let you know that I'm going off to church.
01:02:39Can you wait a few minutes before you go?
01:02:44Yeah.
01:02:49I'm really glad you decided to come with me today.
01:03:00Me, too.
01:03:05Hey, Mom.
01:03:07I'm really sorry for the way I acted.
01:03:10I...
01:03:12I was...
01:03:14I was scared.
01:03:18I know, sweetie.
01:03:21I realize now that...
01:03:24everything's gonna work out.
01:03:27How do you know that?
01:03:31Open faith.
01:03:34Remember?
01:03:37I'll be right back.
01:03:43Hey, Chris.
01:03:59Hey.
01:04:00Can I talk to you for a sec?
01:04:02Yeah.
01:04:03I'm surprised you came to church today.
01:04:08I know.
01:04:09I know.
01:04:10I know.
01:04:11But...
01:04:12I need to tell you that...
01:04:14I'm sorry.
01:04:17You were just trying to help me and...
01:04:20I pushed you away.
01:04:23Can you forgive me?
01:04:33Of course.
01:04:36Although I don't think I have a choice given that we're at church.
01:04:42Maybe we can talk some more after the service?
01:04:49Yeah, I'd like to.
01:04:52Okay.
01:04:53Should we head in?
01:04:56You know, I've been talking a lot about hope and faith.
01:05:06But today I want to add a third virtue to the list.
01:05:12And that's the virtue of charity.
01:05:15First Corinthians chapter 13.
01:05:18And now abideth hope, faith, and charity.
01:05:26And then Paul goes on to say that of these three, charity is the greatest.
01:05:36And it got me to thinking.
01:05:40Raise your hand if you've ever given somebody something before.
01:05:43Now we all give money, clothing, any kind of aid.
01:05:52And this should be the way we all aspire to live.
01:05:55Each and every one of you sitting here today, you should feel an obligation to give charity.
01:06:04And you know why?
01:06:07Because giving charity is also giving love.
01:06:17Love.
01:06:20And when we love, that same love increases hope and faith in those that receive it.
01:06:28You know, there's a personal reason why I chose to add charity to my sermon today.
01:06:37Inspiration.
01:06:38pee.
01:06:39And not just from God.
01:06:45But also from each and every one of you here today.
01:06:52the proud members of this community
01:06:57and members of this church
01:07:00that I love so much.
01:07:07You guys
01:07:08inspired me.
01:07:12You saw a need from a family
01:07:15and you came together
01:07:17and you unified
01:07:20and you met that need.
01:07:27But this just wasn't any old family
01:07:30that you took care of.
01:07:33See, without this family,
01:07:36we wouldn't have a church.
01:07:40Without this family,
01:07:41we would not be sitting where we are right now.
01:07:46Here's a family.
01:07:50You prayed for a miracle.
01:08:09Go on, open it.
01:08:10That's from everybody here.
01:08:21How did you...
01:08:40I opened up a charity.
01:08:42I wanted to see you save your home.
01:08:45We all did.
01:08:51Thank all of you.
01:08:55But I never asked for any charity.
01:08:57We know.
01:08:58And I didn't want any handouts.
01:09:00We know that too, Rebecca.
01:09:02How can I take this?
01:09:04This is too much.
01:09:05Rebecca, listen.
01:09:07Everybody here,
01:09:08they all know what you and your family has done
01:09:11for both the church
01:09:12and the country that they love so much.
01:09:16And they were pleased.
01:09:18Pleased to open their hearts
01:09:19and their wallets
01:09:20to you and Grace.
01:09:24They love you.
01:09:25We all do.
01:09:29I'm glad I was able to reach you, Mr. Clark.
01:09:39Of course.
01:09:39I realize your deadline is tomorrow morning.
01:09:42I know.
01:09:42That's why I called.
01:09:44I want to let you know
01:09:45that I have everything I need
01:09:47to pay what I owe.
01:09:48You have it all?
01:09:50Really?
01:09:50I sure do.
01:09:51Well, you certainly left it
01:09:53right down to the wire.
01:09:55I did.
01:09:56But what's important
01:09:58is that I have it now.
01:09:59This ranch is going to stay ours,
01:10:01not the bank's.
01:10:03My daughter and I
01:10:04aren't going anywhere.
01:10:10I think we're really
01:10:11going to like it here.
01:10:13I think so, too.
01:10:17Perfect spot for us
01:10:18to plan our roots.
01:10:19Mm-hmm.
01:10:26I want this to be our home
01:10:29and Grace's
01:10:31forever.
01:10:35It will be.
01:10:36I can't believe
01:10:54what everyone at the church
01:10:56did for us.
01:10:56I know.
01:10:58Me neither.
01:10:59And you're sure it's not?
01:11:01With this
01:11:02and the rest
01:11:03of the money.
01:11:04It is.
01:11:05I already talked
01:11:06to the bank.
01:11:11You okay?
01:11:14I'm so happy
01:11:15that we didn't
01:11:16lose the house.
01:11:17It's just...
01:11:20What's he doing here?
01:11:26I don't know.
01:11:26What's he doing here?
01:11:32Afternoon, Mrs. Evans.
01:11:41And Grace.
01:11:43How's Faith doing?
01:11:46Not so great,
01:11:47actually.
01:11:48What do you mean?
01:11:49What happened?
01:11:51Well, to tell you the truth,
01:11:53it seems like she's homesick.
01:11:56What?
01:11:57I think she missed you a lot.
01:12:00But you know what?
01:12:01I think you should
01:12:03ask her yourself.
01:12:05Faith?
01:12:11Thank you again so much.
01:12:13My pleasure.
01:12:16I don't understand.
01:12:17Is she ours again?
01:12:20I called Mr. Stark
01:12:21from church.
01:12:22But before she could
01:12:23even say anything,
01:12:24I already told her
01:12:25I wanted you
01:12:26to have your horse back.
01:12:27I couldn't sleep at all
01:12:28knowing I'd torn her
01:12:29away from you.
01:12:31It broke my heart.
01:12:33I offered to buy her back,
01:12:34but you told me
01:12:35just to go ahead
01:12:36and tear up the check
01:12:37that she'd be yours again.
01:12:42Hey, Faith.
01:12:44Hey, Faith.
01:12:45Hey, Faith.
01:12:45I'm glad you got to keep the ranch.
01:13:07Would have been a travesty
01:13:08to lose this place.
01:13:08We have enough money
01:13:11to repay the bank now.
01:13:14Have you thought about
01:13:15what you're going to do next?
01:13:18We haven't had time
01:13:19to come up with a game plan yet.
01:13:22But the ranch isn't generating
01:13:24any revenue for us anymore.
01:13:26Well, you should change that.
01:13:28Why'd you want Faith to begin with?
01:13:38Well, I have a little girl
01:13:40and I thought she'd love your horse.
01:13:43But don't worry.
01:13:44Lots of other horses out there.
01:13:46You know how kids love horses.
01:13:48Hmm.
01:13:52Mom.
01:13:53Mom, that's it.
01:13:54That's how we can get the ranch
01:13:55making money again.
01:13:56What do you mean?
01:13:57We can start a business.
01:13:58Horse trail rides,
01:13:59horse riding lessons.
01:14:01We have so many acres
01:14:02on our property
01:14:03that we can use.
01:14:05I don't know.
01:14:07Mom, we have to give ourselves
01:14:09a fighting chance
01:14:10to hold on to this place forever.
01:14:13Well, I mean, it's a good idea,
01:14:16but where are we going to come up
01:14:18with the money to buy more horses?
01:14:20You could always bring on a partner.
01:14:25Really?
01:14:27Well, I'd at least give it
01:14:28some serious thought.
01:14:30My daughter's much younger than you,
01:14:32but she absolutely adores horses.
01:14:35As do I.
01:14:37And there aren't any other businesses
01:14:39in the area like it.
01:14:43Think you can come up with a good name?
01:14:45Hehehehe.
01:14:49Hope Ranch has now become a reality.
01:14:52With Luke's help,
01:14:53we went out and bought
01:14:53some beautiful horses.
01:14:57But while all of our new horses
01:14:59are beautiful,
01:15:00Faith is, of course,
01:15:02still my favorite.
01:15:03I watched your game yesterday.
01:15:05Really?
01:15:06Yeah.
01:15:06Why didn't you tell me?
01:15:08I thought if you knew
01:15:09I was watching you,
01:15:10it would throw you off.
01:15:11It probably would have, yeah.
01:15:13Yeah.
01:15:15But that catch you made
01:15:16was pretty incredible.
01:15:18I was so proud of you.
01:15:19I'm really proud of you, too,
01:15:22you know?
01:15:23For what?
01:15:25For everything you've done here.
01:15:28And for not giving up.
01:15:30Look, look.
01:15:54I'm really proud of you, too.
01:15:56Look, look.
01:15:56I'm still scared of you.
01:15:57I'm just scared of you.
01:15:59I don't want you afraid of you, too.
01:15:59Mom and I have already signed up all the local schools for class field trips and adults of
01:16:20all ages are coming to for horseback riding lessons. It's going to take a lot of hard
01:16:25work but we're excited and we all know that Hope Ranch will be a success.
