Muğla is a pleasant town, that I like to visit when I am traveling in the South-Western parts of Turkey, and want to be away from the noise and crowds of tourism. It has some fine old houses, an number of good mosques, and there is a feel about the town that's hard to define, but makes it a joy to visit. The g in mugla by the way is a Turkish "striped g", it's mute, but has some lengthening effect on the preceding "" u", so the name is more like Moohla.
