00:00The philosophy of the company is to continue the legacy of the American muscle car era.
00:16Timeless, elegant and classic.
00:23Detroit, Michigan. A city steeped in automotive history.
00:27And home to the Equus Bass 770.
00:32An exclusive hand-built car that combines the latest tech with classic American muscle.
00:48This is a custom-made car from A to Z.
00:50On average to produce one car it takes somewhere between four and a half thousand to five thousand man-hours.
00:58And these exclusive vehicles don't come cheap.
01:02The price range for Equus Bass is between two hundred thirty to two hundred fifty thousand dollars.
01:08We pay lots of attention to details when we produce this masterpiece.
01:14Built with lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre.
01:18Powered by a six point two litre V8 engine.
01:21The Bass can hit nought to sixty in three and a half seconds.
01:25And has a top speed of two hundred miles per hour.
01:28The inspiration for the design came from the Steve McQueen's movie called Bullet.
01:39And the Bass certainly has the look of the Mustang.
01:43That starred in the 1968 motion picture.
01:46Along with elements of a Chrysler and a Dodge Hellcat.
01:49You feel like you are part of this car.
01:53And you actually feel the power.
01:55You feel the grip.
01:58And most importantly you like the looks that you're getting when you're driving it.
02:05The car handles amazing.
02:08It's stiff but at the same time it's very comfortable car to drive.
02:13But you actually feel the road.
02:17You really really feel the road and you feel the muscle.
02:20You feel the power.
02:23My favourite features inside the car is the wheel.
02:27Because when I'm handling the wheel I feel that I have lots of power.
02:34One thing I can tell you.
02:36You feel like you are flying.
02:37And as production increases Equius has its sights-sale on the heart of Motor City.
02:48Our plan and it's actually our dream to move our factory to one of the old buildings.
02:55Which used to be homes for several of car manufacturing companies.
03:01When I drive this car.
03:04It feels like I'm and the car.
03:07We want integral part.
03:09And we're ready to tear the roads up.
03:14The philosophy of the company is to continue the legacy of American muscle car era.
03:21Not something which is retrofitted from the old cars.
03:25But something modern.
03:27Something like a flashback.
03:28So you're driving a modern car.
03:29But in fact you're driving history.
03:34Timeless.
03:36Elegant.
03:37And classic.
