00:00Top flight Scottish football and a week on from their premier sports cup quarter
00:06final in the Granite City a battle edged by the Steelmen
00:12both sides in the league are winless but the moods and the narrative in each camp are polar opposites
00:30Motherwell have had a week to prepare for this clash and will search for a repeat performance
00:35and result from Pataudry and with that in mind Jens Bertolasco selects the same side that progressed
00:41to the premier sports cup semi-final Regan Charles Cook's sensational strike separated the sides a
00:46week ago he's one of six new signings that start the game alongside Stephen Welsh and Emmanuel Longolo
00:53in defence while Lucas Faddinger and Elliot Watts will allow Abraham Saeed to support the attack
01:00Jimmy Tallinn makes six changes from Tuesday night's defeat at Tanadice
01:07three from a week ago but perhaps more crucially it looks like a change of shape as well
01:12Christos Tobers returns for his first action since the Scottish Cup final
01:16Jack Milne also starts in the back three while Nicky Devlin makes his 100th appearance
01:21for Aberdeen having come through the youth system at Motherwell
01:30Graham former Liverpool Coventry Motherwell and Hamilton Academical forward will be a moment of applause
01:56Deed to be a moment of applause
01:58aika
03:21Who will seize this opportunity?
03:25Will Motherwell record a double over the Dons in the space of a week?
03:30Or will pressure inspire Aberdeen to their first win and goal of the league season?
03:35Plenty of intrigue at Fir Park this evening.
04:00celebrating in the Hampden Sunshine, delivering the first time in 35 years, here goes Jesper
04:11Carlsen, jumpy in, oh it's, a big save from Caleb Ward to keep out Kevin Nisbet, Aberdeen
04:25clicking early on, big time, I mean it's a great ball in from Jamfie, not a bad header from
04:33Kevin Nisbet, the only thing he would perhaps say is can he try and get it down, but he's
04:37under some pressure from the defenders there, he's made Caleb Ward have to make a save early
04:43on in the game here, and look, listen to Yamitalin before the game talking about we've got to
04:50show the fans the desire to run and work hard, that's a bare minimum, and they have got to
04:56do that, we know the team's got quality and they need to show that as well.
05:00Jesper Carlsen on loan from Bologna sends that in, defended well by Motherwell and then smashed clear.
05:10Jemfie, Archish, Palo Versa, well in 90 minutes last week, Aberdeen didn't manage a shot on target
05:30against Motherwell, Calum Ward with very little time.
05:40There's a pretty damning set of statistics for Yamitalin and Aberdeen, and they have to turn it quickly.
05:54Is it a bigger game for them this evening?
05:58Yes it is, I don't think there's any question about that.
06:00And the fact that they've got Shakhtar Donetsk and the Conference League coming in midweek as well,
06:06it only adds to the desperate need that they need to start turning the corner and creating a bit of positivity.
06:14We need it for Scottish football as well, we need Aberdeen to be doing well in Europe and picking up points.
06:20And they're one of our bigger clubs, it's quite an alarming situation that they find themselves in.
06:31And although there is clearly support from the board, that's not something that's going to last forever.
06:37Carlsen's header, Nisbet, sent it through the legs of Stephen Wells but couldn't quite get the power on to trouble Ward.
06:47Well he's gotten in a good position, Carlsen you can see making that run on the inside again.
06:54Kevin Nisbet trying to play it through Welsh's legs and catch the goalkeeper out.
07:00Became a comfortable enough save for Calum Wardle.
07:04And it's an interesting one, you know, to look at the change of system.
07:08A lot has been made of it, a lot has been spoken about, particularly because they won the cup final with a back three slash five.
07:17But it feels like it's almost, not desperation but there's almost a, they need to change to try and change something.
07:29And clearly if it works then you can look at it and say the right decision was made but the concern is that if this doesn't work for Aberdeen it almost feels like the manager's running out of ideas at that point.
07:42And obviously a lot of that perception and feeling and atmosphere is down to the fact that Motherwell managers are running out of time.
08:11Motherwell manager Jens Bertolasco has come in, there's a breath of fresh air, they're playing really good football.
08:16They're through to the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup as well.
08:20And this game here if they're able to win this, it really just hammers home that positivity.
08:25Gordon and Welsh forward to try to meet the corner, was delivered in by Elliot Watts, he's too close to Mitov.
08:36He looks to go early, Carlsen forward but back was Longolo.
08:41It was interesting reading Andy Halliday's thoughts on the new manager Jens Bertolasco and saying that often there's a thought process that teams with a lower budget have to play a certain way, a more defensive style but Jens Bertolasco has come in with an aggressive approach, an attacking mentality.
09:07And we saw that from the very off match day one in the league season against Rangers and they've been very unlucky not to record.
09:14Andy Halliday was actually saying there's a feeling in the squad that they should be sitting on 15 points at this stage.
09:19Well I mean they could have been, but I think the issue for Motherwell is the fact that early on it felt like they were knocking on the door a lot, not converting opportunities.
09:34I think the addition of Regan Charles Cook and Mats Wenisi, Stamatolopoulos, Saeed, they have goal threats in there obviously, just as still going to come back.
09:49The team's got a lot of quality there, just feels like a little moment going there where here or there and yes they could have picked up a lot more points.
09:59When you look at the games they've had the lead in the last three league games particularly the one at Tynecastle 3-0 up, that's a real bitter pill to swallow for them.
10:08There's Carlson, space out on the right hand side, he tried to feed that into Devlin who was motoring, he's still closing down Ward.
10:21But you know the real exciting and interesting aspect of Motherwell is just leading on from what you were talking about with Andy Halliday's comments is that, yes this is a side that doesn't have the biggest budget.
10:35They might not have what you would class as the best players in the league either, but there is quality there and when you look at the manager with a clear identity and a lot of that's obviously been spoken about with regards to other bigger clubs.
10:49This is a manager who has a clear identity and he's obviously got a very good communication because the players know what's expected of them and they execute it perfectly.
11:04So you saw it winning the free kick and that's be so helpful when you get a manager coming in with fresh ideas he's ripped apart that notion that you have to play a certain way he wants to dominate to control.
11:17You took Scottish football by storm really 10 wins at the first 11 in the league.
11:35One draw, they were 2-0 down away from home against Celtic come back to draw 2-2.
11:40I mean it's exactly what Scottish football needs is the other bigger clubs in the country to really put a showing together and that's what Jimmy Tallinn's Aberdeen side were doing.
11:55But the cold hard facts are that since then it's relegation form really in the league.
12:01Five wins in 32 league games is not good enough for Aberdeen.
12:05It was back to the end of November.
12:09November last year after a convincing win against Dundee following the Premier Sports Cup semi-final when they were dismantled by Celtic.
12:22Thereafter finding victories has been a real struggle five and 32 losing 19 as 23 points from a total of a possible 96.
12:34But he did deliver a Scottish Cup.
12:40Absolutely, which obviously is what football is all about, you know, winning trophies, giving that excitement and those memories to the supporters.
12:51But it's not something that is indefinite.
12:55There needs to still be a strategy and an idea and a clear path of how this team is going to progress forward.
13:04It's interesting as well, Jimmy Tallinn talks about the three year plan at Aberdeen.
13:11That's over a year into it.
13:13That's all well and good Rory but along the way it's not carte blanche.
13:18You can't be sitting in the relegation spot but saying it's fine and we'll be alright in three years time.
13:23You know, there needs to be evidence of things moving forward.
13:29He's been backed.
13:30This is a massive squad that Aberdeen have.
13:32There's a lot of money being spent.
13:36Here's Regan Charles Cook looking to torment Aberdeen once again slips it across looking for Saeed.
13:49Pala Versa, Lisbeth dropping off the front, Shinny in support, Carlson out to the left, Aberdeen with numbers streaming forward.
14:01Carlson wants the space to get the shot away, the deflection comes in, O'Donnell had to watch him every stride of the way.
14:10He's defended it pretty well, you know, he's cutting inside, there's plenty of bodies there and eventually he's able to get the block on and take the pace out the strike.
14:19Obviously, Jesper Carlson coming in with a lot of expectation on his shoulders.
14:24He's a guy that has been big transfer fees spent on him.
14:28Ten million going to Mologna, a couple of million when he went to AZ.
14:34You know, this is a guy that you're looking for from Aberdeen's perspective to be the difference maker.
14:42Here is Carlson.
14:47And over the top it goes from the German left back.
15:00You're right though with Carlson but his figures back it up until the move to Italy really, he had a loan at...
15:14Lecce last season from Bologna but if you go back to his Elsborg years when he did play under Jimmy Tallin, 22 goals and 94...
15:27...appearances and with AZ which got his big money move, 11 million euros to Serie A, 124 appearances, 46 goals for a winger.
15:40It was extremely impressive and if Pimitalin can reignite that sort of a player, they'll have somebody very special on their hands.
15:53Well Kevin this bit leaves a little bit on Watt here, quite rightly a free kick's given.
16:10But I think it's quite interesting, you know, the change of system in this game.
16:23You know, from Aberdeen's perspective, the two teams, they obviously played each other last week.
16:27And you look at, with those two number 10s, the narrow wingers that are playing out of possession.
16:36They're clearly trying to stop and bog down Motherwell from being able to build the game.
16:43It'll be interesting to see how Motherwell and Motherwell adapt and whether they're able to continue like we're seeing here.
16:48To get the game flowing, to get the game built up, progressing into the final third.
16:53Like they've been doing so impressively.
16:55In possession, if he's going to give the free kick against them, then surely he blows straight away.
17:20It's fine.
17:49For Tobers who comes in having played in the KDM Evolution Trophy on Tuesday away at Forfer.
17:56A number of first team Aberdeen players involved in that game.
18:04And O'Donnell just with a clip on.
18:09Yeah, it looked as if he was going to get crowded out, but a nice bit of footwork there from Jamfie.
18:21To Carlsen.
18:30To Carlsen.
18:36Tobers.
18:37Left by O'Chish.
18:41Now out for Jamfie, certainly not shy in getting forward, disappointing with the delivery into the middle though.
18:50Yeah it was, it was a difficult ball for Jamfie because his first touch it was caught under his feet.
19:03And it becomes a disappointing cross.
19:05But I've got to say, the build up prior to that was good, it was quick, it was incisive and that's something obviously the manager has referenced.
19:15I think everybody's seen it at times with Aberdeen, feeling like the speed of their play's not been there.
19:25Certainly opening stages there's been a few good moves.
19:30Well won by Watt against Schiri.
19:34Masuanise, we haven't seen him quite unleashed just yet.
19:38Such a talent.
19:40Beautiful.
20:03Said.
20:05Got it.
20:10But, good play.
20:16The Nigerian that's come in from Viborg in Denmark.
20:32It's Bertolascu using his connections, his knowledge from his home league.
20:42This will be taken by Elliot Watt.
20:46Keeper thought about coming, it's just flicked off the top of the head of Liam Gordon.
20:56That was a very good ball there from Watt.
20:59Understandable that Mitov didn't come in the end.
21:06Their mother will have the chance, but there is Tobers to repel the danger.
21:14From Watt, who I would suggest wouldn't have been somebody that Askew was brought in.
21:29Then you look at Fadinger who was brought in previously.
21:35And the likes of Charles Cook as well.
21:37These are guys that perhaps the folk that are already in the recruitment team have brought these guys in.
21:42Elliot Watt just as well, somebody that has been brought in by Askew.
21:50and I think the blend of that has been very successful so far.
21:53The recruitment.
21:57The corner, doesn't get past the first man though.
22:03Ward.
22:10You know, that's a lot of Welsh who did really well to keep it in.
22:25Man on loan from Celtic, sensing the opportunity to gain some first team football.
22:35Which wasn't going to be coming his way in his parent club.
22:40Third start in a row for Stephen Welsh.
22:52Charles Cook.
22:54Got away from him.
23:04The chaos of ostiators here's a fire port.
23:11Never many.
23:16Yeah.
23:18Yeah.
23:21Yep.
23:23That was a message.
23:25Yeah.
23:27There is funny.
23:28Well you don't get the άges of nowhere.
23:33Yeah, things are just slowing down a little bit, they need to really try and keep that
23:58tempo and pace in their game at Aberdeen.
24:07To safety from Gordon.
24:19Shanee, jam feet.
24:28Milne, Calaverta, good pick out, Oshiri, she's been quiet so far and he had the opportunity
24:38to feed that in the path of Devlin, he was claiming for a handball, Shiri with a good
24:49challenge, Carlsen has looked the most likely threat for the Dons.
24:57I just needed a one-two there, Carlsen played it into Oshiri and he's just looking for
25:02the little bounce pass.
25:07Oshiri has taken too many touches.
25:14Gordon.
25:21Gordon.
25:22Gordon.
25:23Gordon.
25:27coming in from his left-hand side.
25:34It was still a little bit of a nervous moment, Rory, because it's, I'm not sure whether he
25:44was trying to catch it and he fumbles it slightly or whether it was just a confident touch but
25:50Masmanisi with a blistering pace, he's catching that and he's fortunate that it doesn't land
25:57at a Motherwell forward.
25:58I mean look, he's chucking it down, he's chucking it down, so there is a little bit of an excuse
26:04or a reason there but still fortunate there wasn't a Motherwell player to just knock it in there.
26:10One by Gordon ahead of Nisbet.
26:35He'll be very, very hopeful and I would imagine expecting as well here today that Motherwell
26:44are getting three points because there's no doubt in a similar vein as what you're talking
26:50about with Andy Halliday thinking they could be on 15 points.
27:09Privately, he'll be disappointed they're not on more and today at home against the side
27:16that they've obviously just knocked out the Premier Sports.
27:20He'll be feeling like it's a good opportunity to put down a bit of a marker, get them moving
27:30up the table and keeping the positivity while they're still missing as I said a few key players
27:38because for me, Slattery and Elijah just are good players that will improve, not a massive
27:46point.
27:47And it's a coming together.
27:59OK is going to give a free kick to Aberdeen next goalkeeper and I think it's the right call
28:05but there's no more to be given there because the ball was there to be challenged for.
28:12The Aberdeen goalkeeper gets the touch on it and it's a fair decision for me from Ryan Lee,
28:20the referee.
28:37.
28:51.
28:54Charles Cook, Stamatlopoulos who puts in some amount of work up top from Motherwell,
29:01and he does give away the free kick.
29:07.
29:11Sinead did very well there because he was under serious pressure,
29:15and he manages to win the ball and then win the free kick.
29:20.
29:23.
29:24.
29:25.
29:26.
29:27.
29:28.
29:29.
29:37.
29:38.
29:39.
29:40.
29:41.
29:42.
29:44.
29:45.
29:46.
29:47.
29:49.
29:50He's got to hold that in better Rory.
29:53Building the edge of the box there.
29:54He's got to take that in and take the greater care with it.
29:58.
29:59.
30:02Similarly with Stamatlopoulos.
30:04You know?
30:06the difference that comes when the front man's able to take the ball in and link the game.
30:27Clyde in the Premier Sports Cup group stages.
30:36Searching ball, but it's read by...
30:41...from...
30:44...what's ball forward.
30:47Well, it's a ball that they've looked to play quite a lot so far in this game.
30:52Trying to release, particularly down on the right-hand side for Maswanese.
30:57And you can see that front three of Aberdeen, very narrow, trying to force Motherwell...
31:04...the outside of their system, not allowing them to try and break the lines and play through them.
31:12There's Charles Cook...
31:22...switched over to this right-hand side.
31:25Being held back there by...
31:28...but Charles Cook continuing.
31:34Now Saeed...
31:44...wouldn't settle for O'Donnell.
31:47Jamfie...
31:48...can clear only as far as Watdo.
31:52Charles Cook maintaining the pressure.
31:54Charles Cook maintaining the pressure.
31:59Nooster...
32:13...to Jamfie...
32:15...signing from Schalke.
32:19But that's good play as a team, as a unit, defensively.
32:26It's obviously...
32:29...two different systems...
32:32...but you can see there, as soon as the ball was coming across the knister...
32:36...Steven O'Donnell was releasing himself from his right-back position...
32:40...to go and get touch-tight with Jamfie.
32:44Walk forward Maswanese.
32:46Stamatolopoulos waiting for the delivery.
32:48A lot to do for Maswanese.
32:50We're almost at half of it.
32:53We're almost at half of it.
32:57It's a real handful.
33:03Yeah, very close.
33:08Must have been...
33:10...been past Knister there, but...
33:14Knister recovered well.
33:17An important recovery.
33:19Well, what a game we have next Saturday...
33:29...from the home of the league leaders...
33:34...Tyncastle and Edinburgh Derby...
33:36...Heart of Midlothian against Hiberny.
33:39It's next Saturday from 5.15...
33:42...Premier Sports 2.
33:44And following on from that are other selections in October.
33:49...Komarnik against Hearts.
33:52That's Saturday the 18th of October.
33:54Again 5.15...
33:55...Premier Sports 2.
33:57Aberdeen take on Hibs towards the end of the month.
33:59Sunday the 20th...
34:09...Sunday the 20th...
34:12...Sunday the 20th of October.
34:13But it's in position that...
34:16...especially on the left.
34:17You've seen Carlsen coming into a wider area.
34:20But you're right.
34:21Oshish is not somebody that would naturally play...
34:27...on the outside.
34:29You're Saeed...
34:31...opens up for him.
34:32Ibrahim Saeed fires well wide in the end.
34:35It's an opportunity...
34:36...for the Nigerian.
34:40It was, wasn't it?
34:45It was, wasn't it?
34:46It's a nice play...
34:48...from Motherwell.
34:49Aberdeen just stopping.
34:51Shinny, who would have been in that position...
34:56...went into the initial challenge...
34:58...and then it drops to Saeed.
35:00It's a bit of a slap in the end.
35:02He cuts right across it.
35:05But...
35:07...I mean, look.
35:08From Aberdeen's perspective there...
35:10...even though Shinny's been pressing...
35:12...and he's stopped slightly...
35:13...there's got to be others that are tighter and closer to...
35:16...actually affect it.
35:28...just over half an hour played.
35:42Motherwell looking to...
35:44...break their run of draws...
35:46...five in a row to start the league.
35:52...season Aberdeen would just...
35:54...dearly love a goal.
35:56Well done.
36:19O'Donnell.
36:21That's what he said.
36:22it will be a yellow card for the Dutchman
36:28I'm not sure what he's complaining about there
36:34because certainly from here he looked high
36:37and he was very late
36:39it's a lovely touch around the corner from
36:41it's a yellow card every day of the week
36:48and there's the differences in terms of the systems
36:57before I was talking about when the ball got played out to Jamfie
37:02in another phase of play
37:04and Stephen O'Donnell was quick to be released
37:07to get touch tight and force the wing back back the way
37:18it does pin Aberdeen back
37:31into this corner though
37:48the referee's, I mean I don't understand why he's not
38:12yeah, surely we've seen the beat-offs down now
38:19this is the last thing that Yamitalin is needing
38:25or eh
38:30he'll be seriously concerned
38:33just wonder whether it was that collision with Mas Minisi
38:36it does look as if it is, it's that left leg
38:43just opened up his groin or perhaps just the actual impact on his thigh
38:51that he's feeling
38:55well if he's unable to play it would be a debut for Nick's summon
39:04the support
39:13at Tanadice after the defeat
39:17the manager saying it's rock bottom
39:19you know I'm always conscious of the fact that
39:24when things are negative like this it's always the ones that are
39:27most unhappy that are going to be making the noise
39:30and just talking to Andy Constantine before and he
39:34still feels like there is a good strong support
39:38that are not calling for his head quite yet
39:40but you do feel that things are
39:42they're on a knife edge
39:49at the moment for the manager
39:55it's well held up by Nesbitt
40:01there sheesh
40:02flying
40:04to the white area
40:14Saeed
40:15has picked up a great piece of space
40:17but has passed through for Samathlopoulos
40:23did not have the pace on
40:25that was required
40:29look at the space there
40:32behind the midfield in front of that defence
40:35that Saeed is able to pick up
40:41disappointing ball through
40:42but I tell you
40:43the manager is down in front of us
40:44he was giving that big collapse
40:45he was happy with that move
40:47you know the other element
40:55to Dupuy Tallinn's position
40:56as he does seem to have a lot of support
40:58from the decision makers at Aberdeen
41:00and they have backed him
41:02in the transfer window as well
41:04to
41:07continue to build this project
41:09well they've backed him big time Rory
41:10but I go back to the point I was making before
41:12three year projects only actually
41:14come to fruition if you get results
41:19and you know this run of results that they're on
41:21is simply not good enough for Aberdeen
41:24he may well be
41:27in a situation where he gets a little bit
41:30a bit longer than most would
41:35expect or think
41:38but
41:39that credit
41:40in the bank
41:41doesn't last forever
41:49here's Alan Burrows
41:50it's the Alan Burrows Derby
41:51this evening of course isn't it
41:53the chief executive at Aberdeen now
41:55formerly her mother of
41:57the
42:10well
42:11there's been over the top appeals for offside
42:16Lisbon over the top, appeals for offside, no flag just yet, now sheesh.
42:28Aberdeen have to go backwards, Gimitaleen has been looking for
42:46that ball to be moved more quickly, more decisively.
42:52That will come when the confidence is built up again.
42:58Yeah, I mean, that's...
43:08...on Hando.
43:16Canoester, Carlsen.
43:24Now Motherwell on the break, Charles Cook.
43:30Longer low.
43:32Going beyond him, but Charles Cook currently doesn't need the help.
43:38In comes Devlin, and he knocks it off the Motherwell.
43:52Very good bit of defending from Nicky Devlin there, bursting a gut to get back in and help.
43:58Tober.
44:03Just when it looks like he's passed the lap vein, well he was.
44:06You've got Nicky Devlin coming round to help him and flicks it off Regan Charles Cook.
44:17Charles Cook, and he didn't get the purchase required.
44:20I think the flag has gone up in any case.
44:29A great pass.
44:32From Wok to unlock the defence there.
44:35Brilliant ball.
44:36I'm surprised that Marc Munizzi's off because he's got blister and pace.
44:39Tight, very tight, but...
44:43It doesn't matter because it doesn't come to anything in the end, but...
44:48I was just going to say a couple of minutes before about that man in your picture in particular.
44:56I just love seeing that.
44:58You know, here's a guy that obviously...
45:00at the back end that last season was on loan at St...
45:06I don't think anybody...
45:09It's obviously a team that's struggling, but...
45:11anybody would have been looking and saying...
45:14it's worth bringing into a team that...
45:17is...
45:19is going to look to change the way that they're playing.
45:22But...
45:23again, going back to the recruitment and the people that are obviously involved at Motherwell.
45:26they've got a good eye.
45:28They've got a good eye because this guy...
45:33he can play...
45:35and he's been a real central figure...
45:38for Motherwell this season.
45:41Tober sliding in, had to get there before.
45:46Emmanuel Longolo.
45:56Emmanuel Longolo.
45:57Emmanuel Longolo.
45:58Emmanuel Longolo.
45:59Emmanuel Longolo.
46:05O'Donnell for Said.
46:06That's when he says, what?
46:11He loses out, it's Palo Verza this time that...
46:13nicked it away from him, Shinny linking the passes with Nisbet.
46:17Now Carlsen.
46:18then
46:30that would have been the time to do it against
46:46your old club on your 100th appearance
46:50for Nicky Devlin
46:52yes
47:06for Carlson
47:20defended the ball
47:27was out to play in any case
47:33closing moments before
47:47halftime whistle
47:49who would be the happier of the two
47:51I think the results are pretty fair reflection so far
47:58I don't think either team has done quite enough to break the deadlock
48:05and possibly in that regard
48:08Jimmy Tallinn
48:10although those
48:12still not a goal scored
48:14will be the major thing
48:15yeah but I think obviously with confidence being so fragile
48:18and the position they're in
48:20I think the longer
48:25looking for somebody in that number 10 position to link the game
48:32that's where the likes of Slattery and Elijah just have been very good for Motherwell this season
48:47the likes of Slattery and Elijah just have been very good for Motherwell this season
48:54just advanced midfield roles in behind the opposition's midfield
49:01that's a lot of
49:08Welsh
49:09that's a lot of
49:10Ibrahim Saeed
49:15It's a blustery, damp evening in Fir Park, it's Baltic, at the back of the stand here,
49:28it certainly feels like, well, I forget all of them, it feels like winter's arrived.
49:37Picked up by Oshish, what a ball that is for Devlin.
49:44Now can he pick out Nisbet?
49:47One point come for Ciampi who slides in, the challenge on Callum Ward.
49:56The chance escapes Aberdeen in the closing moments of the half.
50:01I'm just looking at him, wondering what he should.
50:08Kevin Nisbet have tried to wrap his foot round it rather than trying to flick it here.
50:13I think he should be there, Rory. I think it's a good bit of movement from the striker.
50:20Kevin Nisbet had header saved by Callum Wards, Nikki Devlin also coming.
50:35Nisbet had header saved by Callum Wards, Nicky Devlin also coming close, but it's a pretty
50:50even contest at Fir Park and at the break in the Saturday evening game it is.
