00:00A new hurricane just formed in the Atlantic.
00:02And it's not just any storm.
00:04Experts warn it could explode into a monster Category 3 this weekend.
00:08Hurricane Humberto has officially arrived.
00:11Winds hit 75 mph Friday morning,
00:14making it the third Atlantic hurricane of the Tuenos 25 season.
00:17Right now, it's spinning hundreds of miles northeast of the Leeward Islands,
00:21moving at just 3 mpH.
00:23But don't let that slow speed fool you.
00:25Forecasters say Humberto could rapidly intensify,
00:28reaching major hurricane strength,
00:30at least 115 mph, by the weekend.
00:34If that happens, it becomes a Category 3 or higher storm.
00:37The good news?
00:38It's expected to curve out to sea, staying far from the U.S. east coast.
00:42But there's more.
00:43Another system, Invest 94L, is brewing near the Dominican Republic.
00:48While it's not a hurricane yet,
00:50it's showing signs of forming into something more serious
00:52and could eventually impact the southeastern U.S.
00:55With hurricane season running until November 30th,
00:58this is far from over.
