00:00Today, we are making a traditional Sutherland Tartan kilt, which is known for its rich colors and heritage design.
00:05Let's go step-by-step through the full process from fabric to a finished kilt.
00:08We start with all the essentials.
00:10Sutherland Tartan fabric, leather straps, metal buckles, thread, scissors, measuring tape, and a strong sewing machine.
00:17In the first step, the Tartan fabric is measured according to the customer's waist size and desired length.
00:22Careful cutting ensures the Tartan checks and lines remain perfectly aligned.
00:30Then we cut the fabric for the front apron with a clean finish, while the back fabric is shaped into pleats.
00:36Each pleat is folded by hand, pressed neatly, and stitched to hold its form, keeping the Tartan pattern straight and sharp.
01:00The apron and pleats are then attached to a sturdy waistband.
01:05This adds strength and structure, giving the kilt both durability and comfort.
01:16We take leather straps and stitch them onto both sides, and strong metal buckles are added.
01:20These allow the kilt to be fastened securely, while also providing room for adjustment.
01:23Then we cut small loops and sewed them on the back waist side.
01:42In the last, we gave a kilt pressed to sharpen the pleats and smooth out the fabric.
01:46Each stitch, buckle, and fold is checked carefully during the quality inspection.
01:50Here, the Sutherland Tartan kilt is ready to be worn with pride.
