Unexpected Outcome? Turkish and US Presidents Meet at the White House US President Donald Trump has hosted his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the White House. 00:57Well, I can tell you that President Erdoğan is very respected by both of them.

01:07And I think he could have a big influence if he wants to.

01:14So, shortly after the meeting, Turkey's energy minister confirmed the two countries had signed a deal to deepen their partnership in nuclear energy.

01:34The coming weeks will show whether the constructive dialogue between the two leaders will translate into lasting policy.
