Take in the sights and sounds as Athletic Club fans march through Newcastle City Centre.   The event took place ahead of the Champions Leaugue fixture between the Basque club and Newcastle United on Wednesday, November 5.   The clubs have a long history of fan friendships, going back to 1994 when this week’s visitors welcomed Newcastle United fans to their city for a UEFA Cup match.

00:00An estimated 3,000 Athletic Club fans took over Newcastle ahead of the Champions League fixture between their club from Bilbao and Newcastle United.

00:22After congregating at the Big Market, fans marched to St James' Park just before 7pm.

00:31There has been a friendly relationship between the two sets of fans since 1994, when Athletic Club fans welcomed Newcastle United fans to Bilbao.
