00:00Welcome to Santa's Workshop TV, where Christmas cheer is made right here.
00:06Ho, ho, ho. Hello, my dear friends. It's me, Santa Claus.
00:10Today, I'm going to share the story of how it all began.
00:13The story of St. Nicholas.
00:16Long, long ago, over a thousand years ago, there lived a kind man named Nicholas.
00:22He was a bishop, which meant he wore a tall hat and helped take care of people in his town.
00:27Bishop Nicholas loved helping others.
00:30Sometimes, he gave gifts in secret, like slipping coins in his shoes or stockings so poor families could buy food.
00:38He never asked for thanks. He just wanted to spread joy.
00:42As years passed, stories about his kindness traveled far and wide.
00:47Sailors called him their protector. Children called him their friend.
00:51The legend of St. Nicholas grew brighter and brighter, like the star on a Christmas tree.
00:58And over many years, different countries added their own traditions.
01:02Before long, St. Nicholas became known as, well, me. Ho, ho, ho.
01:09So when you hear my name, remember it all started with a man who cared deeply for others.
01:14That's the true gift of Christmas.
01:18Kindness, giving, and love.
01:20Until next time, ho, ho, ho.
01:23Merry Christmas.
01:24Thanks for joining me today.
